I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that HASN'T felt baby yet? Im at 18 weeks and nothing (least I don't think I have...FTM and all). I know doc said not to be concerned, but would be nice knowing I'm not alone in this...
It's totally normal. I am 17 weeks and have been feeling it but I've started figuring out little tricks and honestly a lot of the stuff I'm feeling is stuff that if I wasn't paying attention for I would miss altogether. The first time I felt her it didn't even register because I was absorbed in a book and it wasn't until a couple minutes later that I was like wait a minute....wth was that, did I just feel her move!?! I had been writing everything off as gas so much that I had to really pay attention to the difference. At first for me it felt like little tickles almost like one or two pop-corns were popping in my lower tummy, not a bunch like I thought it would feel like, and it totally tickled, but it's like the second I would start paying attention to it, it would stop. So anyway, I had a point to this lol. With mine if I drink orange juice she really wakes up and starts dancing around in there, also she doesn't seem to like it if I sit leaning forward (probably because I'm squashing her) and she will really start kicking and squirming. Also, at night when I wake up to pee and go back to bed and lie down something about that will wake her up and she will give me a few good squirms. She reacts when I change positions if I've been in the same one a long time but what I'm feeling is still pretty lite. It's like a couple of good pop-corns, or a little bit of fizzy drink bubbles going up, or a knocking feeling that's sorta like gas without the gas buildup feeling. One time I am sure she rolled over because it felt like something was sliding in there. Anyway, good luck, hopefully some of the tricks help! And don't expect big feelings just yet, just small ones. Don't stress though, a lot of girls don't even feel it for a couple more weeks.
