Embarrassing pregnancy moment.. On the Riviera...

This is my first time being pregnant. At the very beginning I was hit with the nausea and it was keeping me from getting things done, so I got Diclectin prescribed (same as Diglegis in the U.S.) and things have been sleepy but good...

Shortly after I found out I was pregnant I had to leave on a preplanned 6 week trip to Europe... It's been pretty nerve racking as I'm away from medical care, my friends, family, and SO.

I am now in Italy and trying to enjoy the sights as much as I can between meetings! Yesterday I went on this cruise around Portofino and it was just gorgeous!!! But when leaving the port I started to feel queasy and then from the second floor proceeded to vomit over the side of the ship, but unfortunately on the people who were on the first level

    Oh! It cut off my post...

    In any case I was mortified!! And had my business partner and his wife holding my hair are trying to wipe vomit away from my face (due to wind)

    Please share some of your embarrassing pregnancy moments:) I need to feel like this is not something that only happened to me!!

    I have not thrown up on anyone else, but in my first 2 pregnancies I did throw up outside. Like once in front of a QT gas station and we were the only people there and the workers were just staring out the window. I felt bad and offered to hose it down myself, but they said it was fine and that they had nothing to do anyway. Then I threw up in the bushes in front of my doctor's office while waiting for my ride. In my second pregnancy I threw up in the grate in the parking lot of a Frys. So many people were walking by and it was horrible. Luckily I avoided scenes like that with the next 2 pregnancies and only time will tell how it goes this time!

    My "worst" so far involve gas rather loudly sneaking out at inopportune times...  I'm sure I'll have more as this pregnancy goes on!

    My worst timing (not really embarassing) so far has to be 2 weeks ago when we were headed to an out of state wedding. I was feeling horrible the whole morning, between waking up early, the stress of a 3.5 hour car ride there and back in the same day, and LO at home with the grandparents it was enough to set me over the edge. I was crying in the car and kept saying I was going to get sick and distracting DH who was driving. I had my grocery bag (that ended up having a hole in it) I was vomiting in and DH ended up just knicking a huge rock that was in the road and put a huge hole in our tire. He had to put the spare on on the side of the highway and we had to find a place to get a tire, which took us 2.5 hours. We missed the wedding but ended up making the reception, thankfully. Luckily, I have baby wipes stocked in my car for LO that made the cleaning up of the vomit a lot easier. Car trips are no fun when nauseous, ugh!

    Ok!!! Good to know I'm not the only one puking in public... Although I'll start carrying wet wipes! That sounds like a good idea for quick cleanup!!!

    I haven't had the gas yet, but it seems almost inevitable!

    My first pregnancy I threw up in my OB's parking lot once and a grocery parking lot a couple times, a lot of people were around each time and it was really embarrassing. That pregnancy also exacerbated my reflux and I ended up in the ER at one point throwing up every about 2-3 feet until they got me bags. People looked at me like I was diseased since I still wasn't showing and people couldn't tell I was pregnant. I felt so bad for the ER cleanup guys who have to deal with that all the time

    Omg!! That is worst than my riviera story... I can only imagine the look on NYC people... And it must have been so horrible for you:( But on the bright side, I'm pretty sure you must have rocked that dress!
