No. I was due Dec 20th with my first and had one of my showers mid-October. You will be far enough along to look obviously pregnant, but not so far along that you are miserably unconfortable, if you even get that feeling. (I was 2 weeks late with my first and perfectly fine with that, but some people get that "get-this-baby-out-of-me" feeling earlier than others.)
No, I'm actually planning for mid October to avoid being too close to Halloween. And I just think November is too late because I'd like time to buy stuff I don't get at the baby shower while I'm still able to move around a bit easier.
I've got one being planned in the beginning of October, I believe one for the beginning of November, not sure when work doing theirs, I'm pushing for my sister to do her thing in September because she lives 4 hours away and she won't say no, and welcome baby party in NY(I live in GA) for the end of December. I'm due beginning of December/end of November they won't officially change the date until I have my next ultrasound to confirm dates 2 in a row. Im technically having 5, help I didn't want 1, but every adult is insisting on having one for me, and I'm having issues saying no.... Whenever you think you want it should be fine, as long as it in the last trimester.
We are going to do end of September/ beginning of October. Hubby plus 4 other people have birthdays in November plus there's thanksgiving. So I'm going with early. I think October is good.
I'm due December 8th and having mine the first weekend in October. That seems like enough time to buy anything we didn't receive and not have to worry about shipping times or replacing things or baby coming a bit early.
My future MIL is throwing me and my fiance a baby shower at the end of September. It was recommended by my best friend who has 2 kids to have it early so you have plenty of time to buy anything you still need before you're miserable or about to go into labor at any moment.
Mines end of August and I'm due December 4th. It got too crazy to have guests come in closer to the holidays so doing it earlier made more sense. Also nice to wait till after your shower to see what you still need for the baby.
The same with our family! I'm due December 31st and between the holidays, a wedding, and family going on vacation...October was the better time to have one
You can never be too early in my opinion. My shower for my first was scheduled exactly 5 weeks before my son was due and I ended up having complications and delivering the day before the shower... I'm hoping I actually get a shower this time!

I don't think that is early, considering the holiday rush. I get married in September so my mom isn't trying to discuss a shower until after we get through the wedding, which makes sense to me. I'm sure she and my aunt will pick a weekend in October or November. But I say do what is best for you and your loved ones.
My baby shower date is set for October 11th, and I'm due December 16th. I figured two months to get things exchanged and buy things I didn't get is a good amount of time
I'm likely planning for October as well. My birthday is the first week in November, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas. I'd like to get it done before all of that stuff.
My only warning to everyone is that if you haven't bought anything prior to your shower, be prepared for that shopping bug to hit you on your way home from your baby shower!
I had my first shower with DD near where I grew up, which is a 6 hour drive from where we live now. On the way home from the 6 hour drive, I stopped in at Target and filled up my basket with things to decorate her room among other things. I was tired from the drive, but I was on a high from the shower.
I've asked everyone to wait until after the baby is born. This is my third pregnancy and I have had two miscarriages so far. I just would rather be safe.
Mine is at the end of August, but that is because we are expecting twins and my sister is getting married the beginning of October so I didn't want my mom to plan anything too close to hers, I want her to have her time to shine.
