  I am sorry to hear this!!
  I have basically the same story... Ultrasound when i was 6.2 weeks and got told it was twins... Went back with 8.3 weeks and they said one was an empty bag... It's such a weird feeling! It is still a loss But i am trying really hard to stay positieve and focus on the sticky baby!!
  I wish u a lot of strength and am keeping my fingers crossed that our sticky babies stay right where they are!!

  I am so sorry.  I know it doesn't make it hurt any less, but it is incredibly common.  Some of the stuff I had read was that it happens in up to 85% of pregnancies, it is just that most women don't have u/s early enough to know.  I miscarried my 18yoDD's twin at 13 weeks and spent the pregnancy getting u/s to watch the remnants of the twin's pregnancy get resorbed and bled for the entire pregnancy.  I didn't know I was pregnant until I lost the twin and it was pretty awful.  My hope for you is that because this was early that it causes you no health issues for your pregnancy and you have a healthy easy pregnancy.  I will warn you, you might find yourself going through grief again after your baby is born.  I know for me, that is what happened. Thoughts and prayers for you.
