Who's comfortable?

Im NOT; I've got some serious back pain in my right side and just all around feeling very useless. Any advice from those moms who are still feelin good? I'm a third time mom but this pregnancy had me wanting to spend all my last days laying in bed (the exact opposite of what I really want to do; spend time with my boys)

Re: Who's comfortable?

  • I am also a 3x mom and I think it is because we have so much to do with the first 2 it is just very exhausting. I am not so much uncomfortable as I am just tired! Trying to keep up with the kids wears me out! Good luck, the finish line is around he corner!

  • I think there must be a huge difference between being a FTM and having other kids. I don't feel amazing but I'm 39+ weeks. When I'm tired I just lay down, don't want to cook just order in, don't want to go to work just call in sick (not working at this point anyways). I cant imagine having kids and doing this. I can barely walk the dogs.
  • I'm 39+4 FTM and feeling very good, when I start feeling pain here and there I take my dog for a walk, somehow I feel my best while walking. After that I need to relax a little bit then I can continue with whatever I need/want to do... Lately it's napping :D
  • I'm 39+1 FTM and I am absolutely exhausted. I'm so uncomfortable all the time and just wish baby would come out. The only place I feel good is in bed with my snoogle, and even then I have to rotate every hour or so bc I get uncomfortable again. Hats off to all the second and third time mommas out there because I can barely do anything!
  • I was miserable the last few weeks painful contractions too. I started listening to hypnobirthing and all my pain disappeared. I'm actually feeling good. Today is my due date and I have zero signs of labor "go figure".

Ah I'm with ya! I'm a fourth time Mammy and I'm currently 39+2wks pregnant..
Absolutely knackered.. Can't be bothered to do anything but the other children need me to be there for them too so can't do anything but.. I'm desperately trying to get the house tidied and sorted so that when I go into hospital, there will be some sort of order..
I'm struggling to stand up, so I cook and iron sitting down.. Apart from that, I'm a bit of an emotional wreck - my partner and I 'had words' this afternoon and when he left for work I sat and sobbed - and even that hurt!
Everything hurts, everywhere aches, I'm sick of being told how 'huge' I am (they're estimating a 10.5lb baby so I ain't gonna be teeny...!) and I'm sick of moaning and groaning with everything I do.. But hey, we're nearly there and I make sure that I have some time every day when I sit and just appreciate what is going on inside me right now..
We're all nearly at the Big Day.. Good luck to us all.. I think we're gonna need it!
    Xx
  • I'm 38+5 today and generally feeling pretty good but have my moments. Third time for me too but my girls are so good I can't complain- my eldest is 5 and fusses over me looking after me and my 2 year old is so placid she's happy for me to play wherever even if that's lying down on the sofa lol. I finished work at 34 weeks and my husband has been off work for a week which I think helps. Trying to make the most of this baby free time but it is hard and I do quite often do a bit too much then need to rest. Hopefully baby won't take too long as like some of you other mums I've been having lots of false starts/painful BHs that I've never experienced before and it's very frustrating. Only a few weeks to go ladies xx
  • STM, 38/1 and I still feel really good. A few aches and pains but nothing too bad. Good luck to all of you. We are so close so hang in there!

    I AM MISERABLE.

    My lower back is killing
    My stomach is SO hard.
The last few days has been 80% humidity or more.

Moving positions at night is terrible.
If I want to switch sides I must go pee first.

I am 38wks/6 days and I generally feel OK. Back hurts every now and then, sometimes it's really bad. It's been hot, so that's not fun, especially when my husband tells me that it's not that hot. But, I feel like I can hang in there for a little while longer....

What gets me the most is when my hubby complains about being hot or having back pain. Normally I'm not such a bitch but I swear I could smack him. I know I'm not the only one allowed to be hurting but freaking complain to someone else!!
  • I'm so uncomfortable and it's made worse when your partner doesn't understand. When I say "I'm just so tired of being pregnant," he always acts like I'm overreacting. But if he hits his toe, the world is ending.
  • I don't even remember what the word "comfortable" means. My boyfriend thinks I'm being a big baby every time I complain about a body part hurting lol. I can't wait until this pregnancy is over so I can get back to normal and not NAG so much I guess.
  • lol no.

  • I'm a FTM, 40+3, I feel quite comfortable actually. Nothing is really killing me to get baby out other than my own impatience. Lol although I could definitely do without the swelling and inability to switch sides at night.
  • I'm 38+4 and not too bad. I'm ok in the day, but it's the night that kills me! I can barely lift my legs to toss and turn and am only getting about 2 hrs of sleep at a time. Then I'll get random aches and pains as I'm out and about. I prefer to stay home to be comfortable, but I want to go out while I still can. It is comforting to know, tho, that many are going through the same aches, pains, and discomfort... So thank you!!

Yesterday I was SO uncomfortable. Felt like a bowling ball in my pelvis. Rolling from side to side was an act of God. I was up till 2 am with contractions that finally went away. This time tomorrow I'll be in my way to the hospital to be prepped for a C section. I'm scared of the pain that follows that but I'm pretty done being pregnant. Never felt this way with my first. When my water broke with him 2 weeks early all I could think was--no! Wait! I have 3 week left!! I'm not done being pregnant. Now, I'm so done.
To add to my pain my husband announced last night that he thinks he getting sick "because things that shouldn't hurt feel all achey. "
    seriously!? Really bad timing.
  • @corndogrobot, T & PS for tmrw. Hope DH is sore and achy for another reason.
  • I feel guilty since I'm a FTM and don't have to chase other kids but I'm getting pretty uncomfortable :( I'm 5'10" and up until about 2 weeks ago I've been fine since I think my height has been an advantage but she dropped and now I've been having pre-labor the past week and it's just taking a toll on my body. I just keep seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and know I won't be preggers forever.
  • I'm a FTM and 37+1.. Getting sooo impatient. Baby was measuring 39+6 at 36 weeks, so that explained why I'm so uncomfortable. Generally I feel ok, but you can absolutely FORGET me picking anything up if I drop it. I generally look to see what it is I've dropped and assess if it can wait until my husband gets home. My sleep is broken, because I get awful hip pain and have to change sides all the time. But I am very lucky, because I've had a somewhat 'easy' pregnancy up until now. We can do this! Not long now!!!
  • I'm getting induced on Friday and can not wait! My low back hurts so much I can't sleep or become comfortable what so ever!
My two little ones have been so helpful and understanding through my pregnancy! But I think they are just as ready for their little sister as I am!
And to comment on rolling over at night. I wish my husband could take a spatula and just flip my tail over so I did not have to attempt to move
  • I am 40+2 and just ready to be done but not showing enough signs of labor. I'm a 3 time mom and my other kids were early. I'm getting seriously impatient waiting on this boy!
  • FTM and we undertook the absolutely stupid task of a home remodel during my pregnancy. Things are getting wrapped up but won't be 100% by the time he comes, so I am focusing on at least getting things organized, which I barely have energy for. I went shopping to stock up on stuff yesterday and barely made it through Whole Foods and Publix. Thought I was going to have to take a nap in my car!
