Check the search function and you'll find a bunch of posts with helpful tips, suggestions, and lists. You can also search on Pinterest and find some really great stuff.

There are multiple posts in here about this. I have been looking on Pinterest to get ideas. Most of those lists are excessive, but they give you a good idea.

There are a few threads on this already if you search the next couple pages or use the search bar. Basically they all say go to Pinterest :-P most of the lists are a bit excessive.
Clothes for you, an outfit or two for baby, personal hygiene items, socks, phone charger and phone,are the big ones. Check your hospital because they will probably provide most items for baby you need.If you are having baby naturally (not c/s) you will probably only be there a day or two.

I'm using an app called delivery bag. It had a list for mom, dad, and baby. Plus o have looked at these other posts and added to the list. I have baby girls all packed but haven't started mine and DH. I have 5 weeks so I need to get on it!

I bought the push pack (google it) with my first and was lucky enough to be given one for this baby. I loved it cause all your toiletries are packed and you don't have to bring stuff from home or care about unpacking it when you get home.

FTM here too..I havent even begun to start packing. Ill be 36 weeks Wednesday, so I figure ill do it in a couple weeks or so, but I pinned a ton of lists on pinterest and am going to go by those BUT cut back drastically. I found some on the pinterest lists to be very excessive and then got some reassurance my thoughts on the matter were correct from some STMs on here...you dont need everything and the kitchen sink! LOL

I made my list based off of several I've seen on Pinterest and think they (I have one for me, one for hubby, one for baby and one for our dog who will be staying with my in-laws) are complete. One thing I did come across last night that I haven't seen on any other lists is Sea Bands. I had them in the first trimester for nausea...I don't know if they would work for nausea during transition (or at any point during labor) but I figured they're small so it's worth packing them.

Now I guess I should get started on actually packing

@mrt723 I never thought of sea bands! That's brilliant! I've been reading that nausea can be a problem while in labor and it's been a serious concern for me. I will definitely be adding these to my hospital bag.

STM here. Everyone is different but I packed 2 comfy solid colored PJ bottoms, 2 shirts, 2 socks, 2 sports bras(I am a bottlefeeder), a thin robe,and a sweatshirt, a little makeup, deoderant, shampoo/conditioner, body wash (incase I am motivated),phone charger, take home outfit for little one, and a bigger receiving blanket. Honestly my first time I didn't use half of my stuff. I honestly didn't want to do anything like shower or put regular clothes on until I got home. They had me shower soon after I had my daughter and I literally wiped my body quickly and said I was done. I didn't feel like touching my crazy feeling/looking body after that whole event. Lol! Thats just me! And I wore the cloths I wore in for my ride home. I only had them on a little while til I got to the hopsital.

@lethanne I was happy with it. There was a few things like playing cards, a notepad and a snack bar that I never touched but as far as toiletries it was super helpful. The products were nice. I guess a cheaper way would be to grab everything from the travel section of target but I liked the idea of knowing it's all there and I didn't have to pack it or pick it up. I just threw the push pack in my bag with a pair of pajama pants, a shirt, underwear, her take home outfit, and my phone charger. Easy and less stress.

With my dd I brought three bags. ..it was ridiculous. This time I'm bringing as little as possible. I have a travel hygiene bag with tooth brushes for me and hubby, hair ties, brush, chapstick, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, etc. I will being my makeup for pictures. As far as clothes, I hate being in the gown so I brought several black pairs of lounge or yoga pants, a free nursing shirts, nursing bras, oversized underwear and fuzzy socks. For hubby a pair of pajamas and a change of clothes. For baby we are bringing feety pajamas, newborn picture outfits, a few blankets for the ride home. Don't forget chargers for electronics.

I always bring an extra bag because we take the blankets and anything the hospital leaves for us. I also have a big sister bag for my older daughter with colors and a coloring book, a book about being a big sister and a few toys.

Remember people, you're only going to be there for a day or 2 for vaginal delivery, and 2 to 3 days for csection. .. don't over pack! And they have things like nursing pads, creams etc at the hospital. Absolutely have your insurance info, copay, paperwork, drivers license , something for you to go home in, something for your baby, and support person. You're not going to a spa so you don't need fancy massage oils your breast pump etc.

If you're going to pack a bag, pack it now! I had my baby s few days ago and didn't have a bag packed. Totally wish I did.

I am mainly concerned with baby outfits and AA blankets for pics. I HATE those generic baby blankets. Shower products and lotion so I can smell and feel better. There are a LOT of bodily fluids that come out and get on you and I want to wash that away! Kinda gross not to IMO. Nursing PJs maxi dress to go home in, long socks and nursing bra, charged camera, iPhone and..Packing done. I need room in my bag for ALL THE FREE STUFF!
