ladies, any experience with Snuza Hero baby movement monitor? I think I will be a paranoid& having it will call me down. Any one has experience with it?
I used the one that I believe is called angel something for DD. when she was 3 days old she had a choking episode at night and scared me to death and I wouldn't sleep unless I knew someone had their eyes on her. After buying the movement deal I slept so much more peacefully!!! It was worth it and I will be using it for this baby
We have angel care but wish I would of gone with the Snuza. My friend bad it and said it was great because her baby wore it in the swing, bassinet, crib, floor, etc. the angel care monitor is just for one place (like crib).
We have two of the Snuza Heros for our twins. They aren't here yet, but I felt like this is a good investment. Like PP said they can wear them anywhere unlike the angel monitor which is only in the crib. Also the angel monitor is a relatively small square and if the baby moves off the square in their sleep you'll get a false alarm. Likelihood that our boys will be early is high and DH is a worrier so i think it's money well spent
I was going to post something like this about the angel care one yesterday but I never got around to it. I just bought the angel care one off of my local Facebook yardsale group for $15. It was new in the box and the box hadn't even been opened. On the one hand I think if it works right it will give me peace of mind. On the other hand if it gives me false alarms I'll probably have a heart attack. But I figured for $15 if I don't like the movement/breathing monitor part than I'll just unhook it and use the sound only and I'll still get my money's worth.
I don't think it will calm you done if you start to get a bunch of false alarms or it doesn't work like you expect it to, but please update us in a few months on how you like it. It's not something I think would be for me.
We got it. Had the angel care with my first and I felt it was so inconvenient. If you get the Snuza make sure you read the directions very thoroughly. Some people get a lot of false alarms but that's almost always when it's not used/placed properly.
Just wanted to jump on here and let you know we chatted about these kind of products at our Infant First Aid class and everyone was really positive about them. The only thing anyone said was be careful having fans etc. on in the room when your bub is sleeping as some of these monitors can interpret the fan/movement of air as the baby breathing and can also set off the false alarm. Maybe check the packaging or the instructions and see if that is something that could affect the one you are interested in? All the best.
Re: Snuza Hero Baby movement monitor- I am crazy or is it a good idea?
