Unpopular Opinions Thursday

Where we really get to "know" each other.  Let it out, probably get judged a bit but lets leave it on this thread.  Sometimes you just need to say it...

    I don't trust:

    1) Overly religious people whose their beliefs blind them from science and common sense
    2) Bumpies with generic cartoon avatars
    3) Stairs that don't have any backs
    4) Most places that say they cook GF but just contaminate in the kitchen any ways (most places)
    5) My intestines after indian food

  • I think people who live in old flats should be banned from having musical instruments and teaching music lessons. My downstairs neighbours are driving me batty.

  • I hate people giving me suggestions on what to name the baby. I know they mean well, but it irks me. Especially my mom, who believes I should've named my DS after my late dad. We decided not to name our kids after anyone, to let them have their own unique identity. My mom brought it up again with this baby, and I just didn't comment. Grr.
  • I hate minivans. I don't care if you have 4 kids...they're hideous and 90% of the time if there's a car driving 55 in the passing lane holding up traffic. ..it's an effing minivan.

I only saw the stripping scenes in MM. No desire to see the sequel either.

I'm hoping and praying we do not have to go in minivan mode.  We bought a 3-row highlander for a reason, even if we were only planning on 2 kids.  Now with the 3rd on the way DH is convinced our highlander won't allow us to do 3 car seats even if our oldest is in the back.  I HATE minivans with a passion!!

  • Lisa6083, my mil was exactly like that with DS.  She kept saying, "Oh, I really thought you were going to name him Robert.  I kept calling him little Robbie in my head." nope. not his name. get over it!

Oooh, them are fighting words. This baby will make Kid #3 (my teenage stepson lives with us), and we will be getting a minivan around the time this baby arrives. Two kids in carseats plus a leggy teenager? Carpooling to water polo matches? Hauling groceries? Family road trips? All so much easier with a minivan, which has better gas mileage than an SUV and is safer to boot.

  • I want a minivan to. When I see those women at Target open their door with the push of a button and drop their pumpkin seat right in I am jelly. Here I am with groceries rolling across the parking lot, my toddler screaming, rain pouring down and I am fumbling trying to get the door open. My husband on the other hand isn't sold on one yet. I will win this battle...bahahaha.

  • This will be #4 (including SDs) for us so my car is going to be too small come March. I haven't decided what I want yet but I'm not against getting a minivan.
