What are your plans for the 4th? Still letting off fireworks or going to see them with LO? I'm worried about them hurting her ears, so am trying to figure out the best solution.
We are going to fireworks because we have a 3 year old who loves them. However we aren't sitting where we normally do. We are sitting much farther away.
We are lucky as we can see them from our neighborhood and they won't be loud. Not sure if he will be able to actually see them but we will pretend he can!!
I think I will hang out at SILs house while the family goes and sees the fireworks at the country club. Maybe I'll take her and just sit in the car during the fireworks...don't know yet!
There is a fireworks show nearby but we aren't going. Too difficult to do our feeding routine. We may be able to see some of the show from our backyard, if they light high up enough. More excited that our neighbor asked us over on Sunday for an afternoon BBQ with our other neighbors. We were told specifically not to bring anything except baby, and they know we may have to duck out for 45 min or so to feed, but can just stroll right back across the street.
I have been wondering the same thing. We'll be at a BBQ tomorrow night and our friends live very close to where the city lets theirs off. I think I'm going to play it by ear, but maybe at most stay at their place and try to see some outside. If we stay that long she may even be asleep inside by then (here's hoping!).
ILs are here and DS goes to bed at 7:30 so we're already done for the night. I'm a weirdo who doesn't care for fireworks so I'm cool with staying home.
We were planning to go to the fireworks show tonight but earlier today we went to the park where they will have the fireworks, and they were having a little festival with food booths and music. We stayed for awhile, but decided not to go back at night because there is not much parking and there are a lot of little hills I don't handle well in my wheelchair. Next year we will watch fireworks. I am sure LO doesn't care at 2 weeks old, and it would probably be stressful for him (and us).
We took lo to a bbq and to fireworks! She did really well and we sat not super far away but she did awesome. Our neigh or have been setting off fireworks for days so there is no way to get away from the noise.
