FFFC

I didn't see this started yet, so I'll start.

I had rice Krispy treats for breakfast. Like 1/4 of a pan of them. They were amazing!!!

Yum! Rice crispy treats are the best!

My husband is overly excited that we are having a boy. I'm super happy he is happy but I wonder if he would be that thrilled for a girl.

My confession is that I got reported for correcting someone's spelling. I need Bump rehab.

I feel like poor spelling is in the same category as having a huge booger hanging out of your nose.

Like, I'd want someone to tell me. Please, so I don't look like an idiot. (ridiculous you got reported btw)
Total boogers, please correct me too.

That's what I said!  That I would want someone to tell me.  I need to make preparations for my getting banned...if I'm getting reported for that, I'm out of here soon.  I was trying to be so good!!  Waaaa. ;)

  • @modanz1 the puppy in your siggy is me today. I'm at work munching on an apple trying to be all healthy, and I can see straight through our store door to the patio of the neighbouring restaurant. Everyone is eating amazing pizza and I want it in my face but lack the necessary pennies for such indulgence today. I'm surrounded, we're the only non-food business in the building; I have a brewery to the left, an upscale pizza place to the right, and one door down there's a cupcake place....

That is a true struggle!!  I work in an area surrounded by restaurants too and it is impossible to even walk outside without losing all self-control!

  • What is a FFFC?
  • @sugarcubes89 Flame-free Friday Confession. Whatever's on your mind.
@Modanz1 I work on a street known as restaurant row. Off the top of my head there's two sports bars, three Americana diners, sushi, Chinese, pizza, cupcakes, a brew-pub, one very expensive steak house, one very expensive Italian place, a kale-and-quinoa type place, two bakeries, a deli, a pub, three coffee places, a seafood place, and two high-end burger places... Honestly it's very good that my job doesn't pay well enough to be able to eat out as often as I'd like, I'd be the size of a house...

OMG.  That's pretty close to the kind of area I am in too.  The Thai place always calls my name!  They are putting a Frozen Yogurt place in (The kind where you load up your own bowl like a glutton) and I am so hoping it waits until I return from leave....I will gain 30 lbs. just eating that alone.

  • @FilbertTree thanks! I feel really late to the game here, and don't know anyone and it seems like there's a bunch of friends on here.
Not sure if I will be sticking around. It's a little awkward.

Don't feel that way!  We like new internet friends. :)

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I mowed my lawn today and weeded my flower beds to make my house look decent. Right as I finished and felt proud of myself, a landscaping company came and started working on my neighbors lawn - who always wins yard of the month. I can't help but be bitter lol.

I really thought this was like the "lawn around the baby door" thing until at least halfway through this post.

Ahaha I'm dying of laughter right now.
    :))
  • @jjr1214 hahahahahahahahahahaha!
  • I have so much to do at work, can't focus, and want to leave early to go sit and do nothing at home....

Ps super glad I work in a hospital in the middle of nowhere and not around food, that sounds dangerous
  • I got a notice in the mail today that our city is switching over to the rolling 95 gallon recycling bins (we were still using the old plastic crates).  I gave an audible "yes!" AND an arm pump...on my front porch.  So sad what gets me excited these days.

It seems like no mather where we live our bathroom has crappy light. I tried to shave myself , because shaving is my go to these days. I get out into natural light and voila! Hair...hair everywhere. Well....at least I gave it a try....
  • I ate almost a whole family sized bag of potato chips with the crab seasoning on them.... and I'm still HUNGRY! What next? :)

I honestly don't care about who delivers my baby. I see a lot of women all worked up over it, but to me it just doesn't make sense. I am, without a shadow of a doubt, going to have my baby delivered by someone I have never met, and that's fine by me. I'm seeing a nurse practitioner throughout my pregnancy, then delivering at the hospital with whoever happens to be working. I just couldn't imagine being concerned with having someone in particular deliver my baby. Especially given the fact that babies come on their own time schedule and I know doctors are human too, so I'd prefer not to have to force them to come in while they on call (even though I know that's their job).

I go to a practice with 6 Drs and one is always at hospital. They always trade off. Some I like better but in the end as long as he us born safely I am happy. When it comes to time I won't care. Most of us will just be ready and want the baby out no matter who gets it out.

Yeah, that's basically my thoughts on it. I can't imagine that when it comes time to push and the doctor comes in I'm going to be overly concerned with who it is. As long as they're capable of making sure my little one is born safely they are fine in my books.

I joked with my fiance about letting myself go after we got engaged and pregnant...
who ate 2-3 ice cream cones almost every day this week? who came home every night after work this week, walked right by the elliptical, and laid in bed catching up on Grey's anatomy? Oh lord, I should probably mow my lawn soon..
and I probably need to cut the actual grass too
my future husband is a trooper =D>

I should, but I just can't seem to find it in me.  One more strike! :)

I'm in the same boat. My birth center has a bunch of midwives, and I see a different one every time I go in for an appointment. They're all fantastic and I actually like the different perspectives. This way, I won't be disappointed with whoever ends up in the birthing room with me because I know whoever it is will be knowledgeable and compassionate. I'd rather have this be the plan than be upset because the doctor I've been solely seeing for 9 months not be there when it's time.

I can't SEE the areas I want to shave! Holy hair! And the husband is afraid to touch me with a razor! And I'll be darned if I go to a salon for a wax! Crap! Just... Crap!

My FFFC is I've basically given up. I did it a couple of weeks ago and ended up with so much irritation on my inner thighs! Am considering a wax merely because it's summer and I might want to wear a bathing suit, but I kind of don't care that much...
