Diarrhea

My daughter woke up with diarrhea on Tuesday morning (along with cold symptoms) and I brought her to the doctor Tuesday to get checked. The doctor said everything looked fine, that it could be just a virus or a squash allergy (we gave squash Sunday and Monday but then stopped). All of her other symptoms are gone but she is still having diarrhea and waking up covered in it in the morning. She also is now getting a diaper rash. She also is teething like crazy which I heard can cause diarrhea? Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

    It could well be the solid food. My little one has been pooping non-stop since we introduced it, including some very water poops that had me calling the pediatrician. A few weeks later it is slowly solidifying but he's still pooping far more frequently than he was before. I'm hoping that it will go back to a couple of times a day soon as we're going through diapers at an astronomical rate!

    I wouldn't jump to an allergy conclusion just yet, but if the squash was exacerbating the poop I would leave it out for a few weeks and try again with it once she's digesting other things without too much trouble. 

    The whole system has to adjust to solids, not just the input end! :)
