How long does this last for (i.e. age)?

Not every night but many night baby cries loudly for no reason that I can find. We soothe her for a looong time and eventually it stops....but at what age does she grow out of this?

I think my first grew out of it by 3 months

I think I heard that it peaks at 6-8 weeks and gets less and less from there.

I somehow missed the witching hour thing. Whew it's been a rough couple days, i was afraid of colic. I hope it doesn't last too long.
