I've had yeast infections periodically throughout my pregnancy. My doctor has given me Diflucan and some topical cream, both of which have helped to ease my symptoms yet they continue to persist. Now she suggests drinking more water, cranberry juice, less sugar, etc. All of which I am doing, but I'm wondering if anyone else dealing with this has any suggestions or advice.
Re: Home Remedies for Yeast Infection?
I've heard of woman inserting a clove of garlic to cure yeast infection. Needless to say, I have never actually tried this method myself. I have always suffered from frequent yeast infections, every 2-3 months I would get one. They get worse when pregnant. Within the last year I have really cleaned up my diet (no processed food, cut out 95% of sugar) and I have, without a doubt, saw a huge improvement. I have only had 1 yeast infection this pregnancy, compared to the 6 I had with my last baby. It's worth a shot, at the very least, you'll be healthier.
