Double Strolle?

Does anyone have a double stroller already? I just found a Graco double stroller and am going to pick up tomorrow but wanted to know if anyone has one and if so does it fit in the trunk of a standard car? I don't have an SUV, just normal 4door sedan and am afraid it won't fit when I go to get it. Thanks!

Re: Double Strolle?

  • Ask the store if you can try a floor model out and see if it will fit in your car before you purchase it.

  • The last one I've seen looks like it would fit. Our double is the City Select and it fits just fine.

  • I have Baby Jogger city select and it folds up quick and easy and definitely fits in my car. I have a Cadillac SRX though so it's a pretty open trunk space. But you can definitely ask to see if the floor model will fit in your car like PP suggested, or if you're buying used ask the seller to measure it when it's folded. That will at least give you some clue.

@shannon8632 What kind of Graco? I doubt VERY much that it'll fit. If it's a sit and stand or a grow with me, those are both tandems. I drive an SUV and when folded, the Graco grow with me is too long to fit sideways in the back of my Jeep. We were gifted one and the damn thing won't fit. Plus it's heavy and drives like a bus, even with just one baby in it. I ended up ordering a side by side after exhaustive research on my options. Doubles are heavy!!!

Edit to add that the store should let you take it outside to try it out in exchange for your driver's license.

  • I plan on getting a sit and stand. DS will be just shy of 4, but he still wants to sit now and then.

  • We have a city select and it fits easily in the back of our Honda CR-V. The seats easily pop off which might make it easier to fit in your car but I could that could become a hassle after a whole.
  • I have one of the sit n stand ones, it is in the trunk of my Oldsmobile Alero right now.

  • My old single Graco BARELY fit in the back of my old Chevy Cobalt, so I know a double wouldn't have been close in that thing. I have a Joovy Caboose Ultralight now (sit & stand style) that would fit if the canopy were removed.
  • This is what we got for our twins for store shopping because it was the only one that fit in our Kia Spectra. It's like a high end umbrella stroller. It's only available online and I can't tell you how many times we get stopped just for other moms to ask what kind of stroller it is. We have a bigger nicer one that stays home for walks.
