I am 21 weeks pregnant and usually, my baby kicked and moved around a fair amount. Nowadays, my baby hardly kicks and moves around. Does this mean that there is something wrong with my baby? I am very worried.
I highly recommend a call to your doctor. They say movement isn't steady until week 24 or so, but if you are very worried, you should call the doctor asap.
I wouldn't be too too concerned as it's still early for consistent movement. My girl moves around tons but we still have our quiet days. Of course as @modanz1 one said, if you have concerns, it's best to put them at ease with a quick call to the doctor and see what they say.
I've noticed that my baby has a pattern. She is normally active after I eat or drink something, but especially active after 7pm. You know your baby's pattern best. If you are concerned then you should call your doctor and check on baby, or invest in a fetal doppler for reassurance. It's just in our nature to worry. I am sure that everything is okay!

Agreed. I'm 22 weeks and this baby is all over the place. There's no consistency at all but I would for sure call the doc if you are worried!
Sometimes if you try a cold sugary drink or piece of fruit that gets them dancing again. She may have just moved into a position where it's more difficult for you to feel her.
21 weeks is still pretty early for regular movement. I'm 22 weeks, and I will go sometimes a day or two without a lot of movement, and other days it feels constant. For this reason, they don't really recommend kick counting or anything until the end of the 2nd trimester, or the 3rd trimester. Like a PP said, though, if you're really worried it doesn't hurt to call your OB. I'm sure they would tell you not to worry, though.
OP, this question - of all questions, is not one to ask a group of women on the internet. While it is perfectly normal for movement to be inconsistent in the first few weeks after you begin to feel it, little to no movement could also be a huge problem. Call your OB with concerns like this. None of us wants to be the stranger on the internet that says "oh your baby is fine, this is normal" when in fact, it's not. Not to scare you or anyone else..questions like this just bug me. I don't understand why people think that a group of strangers that can't see them and have no medical training could possibly tell them whether a sudden decrease or cessation in movement is ok or not. Hope everything turns out to be fine and baby is just going through a sleepy growth spurt.
