I was 33 weeks when I traveled to Cuba for work. My entire pregnancy has been fairly easy, so my experience might be slightly biased because of that. I had no issues whatsoever - no swelling, no pains, no discomfort while flying or traveling. I did opt out of the scanners and they just did a normal pat down. I also had an aisle seat so I was able to make the multiple bathroom breaks easier than having to climb over someone each time.
Haven't been flying anywhere myself, but if your doctor thinks long flight is ok then there shouldn't be any problem. Second trimester is best for traveling. I would think twice before going that region, lately seems pretty unstable. But usually tourist places are kept as safe as possible.
I flew at 32 weeks back from uk (went at 29 weeks). Dr said All fine, and it was... Stay hydrated and maybe get some compression socks. In hindsight I would have wore a mask as I got home and came down with bronchitis the day after - most likely from the plane.
I flew at 20 weeks and I strongly recommend getting an aisle seat too. We took souhwest and they didn't assign seats, you just sat in any open seat. I was stuck in a window seat next to two strangers who slept for 3 out of the 4 hours. I was silently swearing at them and contemplating climbing over the seats in the row in front of me where DH was sitting until I could get them to move
I'm hoping this is a necessary visit? Only because I don't think anyone should be traveling to Egypt with the current state of affairs. I mean ISIS has pretty much taken over at this point.
But in sure you know all of that. I traveled by plane for just 5 hours. I was uncomfortable but you should be fine- just take the advice from all of the PP's
Good luck

pregnant after round 2 of IVF. Transferred 2 embryos and (surprise!) was pregnant with triplets. Identicals passed at 8 and 10 weeks. Still have one healthy baby boy with EDD of July 30!
I flew to canada from dubai at 34.5 weeks. It was fine. Just have a doctors note as they wil probably ask for it. I wore cores sion stocking and got up to walk only when I had to per ( quit a bit during the second flight). I also travelled from dubai to Thailand at 24 weeks. It was fine.
