Diaper leaving baby thighs dark

I don't know if it's just me or not, but I just noticed my baby's skin to be darker on his thighs right outside from where the diaper is. Anyone have this problem or know it's been caused by diaper or diaper rash. It's bothering me bc it's not being covered by diaper so I don't understand why it's darker

Yea it could be or maybe the diaper edges are too rough for her skin, i always put the diper cream on every bit of her that the diaper touches, i use shea butter as a "diaper cream"

I checked and the diapers aren't too small. I don't know what it is.
