Excited and sad

So I have lost all but a few lbs of my pregnancy weight but my body is still not the same. I'm going to need to do some serious toning to get any of my prepregnancy clothes to fit. It really sucks because I've been working so hard on this. Been back to the gym since week 4 and for the most part behaving with my eating. Just sucks to not be comfortable in my own skin or not have many clothing options during such a warm summer. Anyone else loose the weight but not fit nicely into prepregnancy clothing???

    I still have about 5 lbs to lose before I'm at my original weight. Even when you lose all the pregnancy weight, there is no guarantee that the prepregnancy clothes will fit. Your hips expand during pregnancy and sometimes don't always go back completely. Look at it as an excuse to go shopping for a new wardrobe!

    This. After my first, I lost more than what I gained during pregnancy but my hips were wider so I never fit back in my pre-pregnancy size
  • I still have 10 of 30lbs to go but I have a feeling I won't lose them since I was underweight prepreg. My tummy is back to normal minus some flabbiness but none of my pants or shorts fit over my thighs. :( Been wearing maternity or yoga pants since delivery and i really cant afford to buy new clothes. Boo.
  • Even though I know all of this it still sucks. I just needed to vent I guess.. With my first it took me 8 months to be back to prepregnancy weight, so this time I was stoked. I'm kinda a thick girl so I guess I just need to keep shedding weight. I have too many nice work clothes to just get rid of them and buy new. Glad to know I'm not the only one...
  • I have 12lbs of 40 to go, due to healthy eating, walking, and exclusive BF. I have my 6 week appt tomorrow, and look forward to the green light to exercise. My plan is to start running 4x per week and take a weekly Pilates class. I am hoping to loose 10-15 additional lbs beyond my pre-preg weight, so hopefully my clothes will fit. Regardless, I've gotten a few breezy summer pieces that I feel comfortable/attractive in to hold me over (I definitely recommend maxi dresses!) I've also been saving some money to do an outlet shopping trip before I return to work in 2 mnths. :)

    This makes me so depressed. My first I gained 50 lbs and with breastfeeding issues was afraid to really diet so it took me a whole year to loss the weight. I squeezed into my prepregnacy cloths but they never fit the way they did and some I just gave away. I started doing really intense boot camp and other classes and got into great shape. With this baby I did my classes until 37 weeks and only gained 35 lbs. So right now I only have 10 lbs to go but I went for a walk yesterday and was hurting big time. My baby is a month old today so I haven't gotten the green light just yet but don't look forward to getting back into shape. Which is what makes me depressed because I loved working out!!! If only the men could carry the babies!!

  • I've lost all pregnancy weight when I went to 6 week appointment. Doctor was surprised so I was wondering if that was good or not. He said it was, plus I'm breastfeeding so I guess that helped a lot. But like you, I'm still not where I want to be body wise. I can barely wear my pre pregnancy clothes, shirts are a littl snug and you can still see my lil stomach pouch..so I'm hoping to start doing some small workouts at home.
  • I still have 9 lbs to lose to get to where I was when I got pregnant; however, when I got pregnant I was about 15 lbs over my usual weight so that being said, I still have more than 20 lbs to go :/ I've lost about 20 lbs already but I still have some work to do. I had a c-section and my son is 8 weeks old but I still have not gotten the green light from the doctor to work out. Hopefully that happens at my next appointment. And yes, I'm still wearing pregnancy clothes or large shirts, hope I can lose this weight soon!
