Thrush

So I think I may have thrush. I woke up yesterday with a really sore throat that didn't go away. I didnt feel sick or anything so I had no idea what it's from. Usually, I would not be worried about a sore throat, but I also noticed today that my tongue is white! I called my doctor and I have an appointment but not until 4. I will feel kind of dumb if I get there and they tell me it's just a sore throat lol but I think it's better to be safe since if it is thrush it could get a lot worse. I will update after my appt.

    good luck!  I got it this pregnancy after some dental work (first time in my life) and it was kind of nasty.  It cleared up on an anti-fungal med but it made my food taste bad while I had it, it itched slightly and it felt sore in my mouth, kind of like when you burn your mouth on hot pizza and then it just feel achy and icky after.

    Well, it was not thrush!! I feel kind of dumb for going in but at least I know. They said the white on my tongue is "geographic tongue" and is completely harmless. She said the sore throat is definitely from a virus...so she said just take tylenol and some throat spray. I am definitely feeling the cold coming on now...headache, muscle aches...yay.

    Hope you feel better soon! I had something similar about a month ago... get plenty of rest. I didn't and it drug on forever!

    It never hurts to get checked!  Better to know than not know.  Hope you feel better soon
