Pain in arm/wrist and numbness in hands

Anyone else having these awful symptoms that keep you awake at night, wake you up at night or in the morning and continue through the day? I am so so tired of them. Its like carpal tunnel I suppose. I had similar numbness when I did baggage for an airline but this is worse!! Shooting all the way down the arm. Anyone else? Any advice other than stretch? 37 + 2

Same here! I actually cry at night because it gets soooo bad!!!! I can't even move my fingers most of the time.

  • Every morning my wrist aches pretty bad. I thought it was because I've broken It a few times but maybe it is pregnancy related.

Wrist and shoulder pain here! I assumed it was a combination of sleeping on my side now (I am a back sleeper) and the loosening of our joints in preparation for labor. Going to the chiropractor didn't help me, so it has to be muscle related.
  • I have the same thing! I asked my doctor about it and she said it's carpel tunnel syndrome caused by fluid build up around your joints. My doctor just told me to drink more water and I can get wrist braces to help as well. She said nothing is going to completely take it away but having your baby :( Hope this helps!!!
  • Carpel tunnel was what my doc said and it can take a few weeks after birth to go away
  • Same here! My doctor told me its fluid in the wrists, carpel tunnel. It's awful! It will go away after baby is born. Hang in there- you're not alone! :)
  • Ocasionally i get numbness in my crotch area, but it lasts only for couple of seconds. Maybe it's not even numbness but somehow weird feeling..
  • I also have pregnancy carpal tunnel. I got a brace for my wrist/hand it worked WONDERS. I no longer wake up a bunch of times having to try and get my hand/fingers to stop stinging.
  • My midwife recommended eating paleo. It took away all symptoms after two days. Have no clue why. Hate eating like this but it works.
  • I been having this pain an wondering what its from my whole arm from shoulder to numb fingers... sometimes i wake up and its in my hips/leg but i was thinking my leg from sleeping on it?? Maybe??
  • I have this pretty be that I can't sleep at night cause they hurt so bad. I literally have to sleep with my arms straight with no bend at all or theyll get numb and stingy. It sucks so bad that I can't work anymore. I sew and cut fabric and my hands hurt so bad. So there goes that extra fun money. I'm due on sat so I guess that's not the worst thing. I hope it goes away soon after the baby's bornbso I don't have to worry about them hurting while I'm trying to take care of my babe.
  • It's been making my life a misery for a couple of months now
  • Yep, I'm just used to it at this point...
  • This morning I used my wrist to pull myself up on the bed. I screamed out so loud on the way to the bathroom from my bed that my husband thought I was going into labor! That shit is legit!

  • Yeah... Right there with you ladies. Been dealing with it for about a month. Braces at night have helped tremendously. Made the mistake of skipping them the other night... BIG mistake. My wrist was super sore and weak the rest of the day... A few weeks to go... Whew!

I have this too. Doctor said it's carpal tunnel and should go away after pregnancy. So uncomfortable now though!
  • Glad I'm not the only one. Just really hoping that it goes away after the birth.
