FET timing ? (Had u/s this morning) — The Bump
Pregnant after IF

FET timing ? (Had u/s this morning)

ok. So I feel like maybe my baby is measuring behind and was hoping others who have gone through an FET might could shed some light.

Transfer of 6day old embie June 4th
POAS BFP June 10th (was at the beach and didn't want to drink if PG) wouldn't this be "14 dpo"?
Beta 1: 315 on June 15th
Beta 2: 738 on June 19th
U/S 1: baby measures 6w3d; July 1st

I just went through a missed miscarriage after we saw a heartbeat at 7weeks. So having this baby be 6w3d when I thought I was 7+ weeks. It's hard. I can't get excited and really want yalls honest opinions. So laying out all the dates here made me realize I am only off by 4 days. Is that normal this early?

Re: FET timing ? (Had u/s this morning)

  • I'm calculating 12 dpo, not 14. 6 days Embryo for transfer then 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th- 12 days, unless I'm misunderstanding.
Also, those early u/s have a possibility of being 3+/- days off.
Did you express your concern to your doctor?
I know how hard it is not to worry, so I won't insult you by telling you not to. We also had a loss after ivf, identical babies, and after hearing heartbeats at around 6w. A couple of days later, no more heartbeats and it's devestating.
So with our successful fet, we didn't get excited either. Honestly, we didn't really breath until we graduated from the specialists and then had our 12w regular ob appt. Both sets of doctors told us to relax and to feel free to spread the news. That is when we started to get excited.
So try to breath, take it one day at a time, take solace in the fact the doctors aren't concerned.
A big mantra here is "today, I am pregnant and that's a great way to be".

  • @MrsBwIVF thank you for your responds. I am so sorry for your losses. I am on my mobile and can't see siggys, (not sure if you saw or read mine) but we also lost identical twins (19 weeks), had a CP and then recently a missed miscarriage. This is my 6th pregnancy. I know the drill. I know I will be stressed until I can feel the baby kick. I know I am very blessed to have 2 living children, but I want my family complete and that third child will finish it for me. I look forward to the day one of us gets sniped or tied!

To answer your question. My RE is not very social. She is very technical and has great results and she did the ultrasound (I feel the nurses are more chatty). She said it was "perfectly on track" the U/S lasted maybe one whole minute and we just saw the flicker and she didn't measure the speed.

I do feel better with your calculations I think I was just being emotional and couldn't think clearly. THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to think this through with me.

How far along are you now? Just the one baby? I wish you all the best!! I am not ready to intro over here! But plan too after next u/s.

  • Well if the re said it's perfectly on track, that's a great thing! I'm glad my calculations helped you too, I was worried I wasn't counting correctly.

This journey we are on, just stinks. And "normal" women just cannot understand the pressure and stress we are under, even after we happily get pregnant.

Today we are blessed at 13w4d with fraternal (98% sure) twins.

Take your time with your intro but know that the women in the 1st trimester group here are so amazing! I don't want to move to 2nd tri!
