I was just wondering if you can ask to have a csection this I my first baby and I'm due in august. I suffer with severe depression and I lost a baby at 16weeks 5 years ago I'm getting myself in abit of a state and I'm getting convinced that if I give birth vaginaly something is going to I wrong, my midwifes and ultrasound technicians keep making comments about my small frame and him being a big baby which is making me all the more scared.
I am aware that this I major surgery and won't be easy to recover from just looking for abit of advice.
I had to have a c section with DS because he was transverse. It was not an easy recovery. That being said, you have to do what is best for you and baby. I, personally, would never choose surgery unless that was the safest route.
One positive is that your doctors know about your depression and can work with you to keep it under control.
If you do opt for the section just know that you won't be able to drive for 2 weeks. You won't be allowed to lift anything heavier than your baby for 4-6 weeks. Your incision site will hurt for months. Even a year after DS was born I could hit it on my kitchen counter and it would hurt sometimes.
Just do as much research as you can. Only you and your doctors know what is best for you.
