I received 2 beautiful summer dresses in size 6-9 months. Went to return them back to the store and was told since I didn't have a gift receipt I can't exchange them
I would call their corporate offices and ask about this further. Seems like bad business. If only people thought about how when your baby is 5 months old (when she could wear that size) it will be January and a summer dress isn't really ideal lol... At least they tried to get you something in a bigger size I guess. I hope you get that worked out though. I would think you should be able to exchange it or get store credit with or without a receipt.
I agree with PP. But if you still are unable to exchange or get store credit, are the dresses you could pair with leggings or tights and a little cardigan so she can still use them?
Do they have tags? If they don't have tags or a receipt I could understand why they can't do anything. Why can't you keep them? We have tons of different sized clothes that she will grow into. In 6-9 months from August I'm sure you're baby will be able to wear them.
Yes they still have tags. I say I can't use them because they are thin strapless dresses and where I live during that time when baby can possibly wear them it will still be cold.
Maybe they're really old and from a past season? If they are and have been clearanced out, I could understand why they won't let you exchange for something new on the rack now.
Their policy states without a receipt you can only exchange for the same item in a different size. Maybe you can get it in newborn or 12m to use this or next summer
Re: The Children's Place
Just my thoughts.
So you keep them add tights and a plain long sleeve shirt or add them to your next time or regift pile!
