I have a question on this! so a cast is a mold and a mold is so you can make a very life like replica of a real thing using a more permanent material. Is anyone using the cast as a mold? is that something that people even do? I always thought it looked fun but I always thought I never had the material to fill the mold so why bother...
@Youngwithra that turned out great! And @steeby I've never herd of it but I'm sure you could! That would be pretty cool:) I also looked on Pinterest and saw some "belly bowls" that people just did the cast on the bump, removed it, sanded it down and made it in to a pretty bowl for fruit or decoration.
@steeby The kit comes with the cast part that you place in strips over the belly. Once that dries, you use the clay that they include to brush over it and make it harder and more permanent. Then you sand that down and make it pretty. By the time you're finished, it is a more permanent product that won't break like just the cast. I'd post pics of mine but it's still in cast form. DH decided it's his project and he's yet to finish it even though it's been like 3 weeks lol.
