Have I mentioned how much my MIL irritates me??

Ladies, this woman will be the death of me. All I can say is thank God for my FIL who just happened (as he told me this, he was winking at me...love him) to plan the one vacation MIL has always wanted around my due date. His words "The last thing you need is her up your ass when your trying to push my granddaughter out".
Newest MIL irritant...she is wondering if she can go to a dr appointment with me to see if he is trustworthy. Sweetheart you are from the wrong side of the tracks, he is a very educated man. He has been my dr since I was 14 and delivered my first child. There is no way in jell you are getting in there. My husband even told her "No offense Mom, but if you didnt help make the baby, you have no reason to attend appointments unless we ask you to." I am also a high risk because of an amniotic band. The dr has already told us I am at risk for preterm labor. My dr doesnt want my traveling more than an hour from the hospital. When my husband told her, she told him that we are messing up the shower plans. Btw, she knew I was at risk of preterm since 22 weeks. She decided to plan their families shower for 38 weeks an hour past their house (3 hour drive for us). DH told her at this point its not likely that we will make it, but hope you all have fun! Omg this woman!!!!!

A shower at 38 weeks 3 hours from your house? What in the world? We can't choose our family, but it sounds like the good news is that your husband (the one you DID choose) is on your side and has a backbone. Stay strong and try not to dwell on her too much!

I have MIL issues as well so I get it! I am happy to hear though that your DH is supportive if you and that your FIL understands as well!

Have mercy! Put your MIL on "do not disturb" mode & enjoy the last part of your pregnancy. No need for the nonsense.

Im not going to lie, it took a while for them to come around. I think they were both so used to her antics, but after she ruined my wedding and even started on me early in pregnancy, I think they both saw what it was doing to me. I think they both decided she wasn't going to let up on me either. Sad because before us getting married, her and I got a long really well. She has one daughter that is kind of crazy and a druggie and then the 3 boys. Her and I would talk for hours and spend time together without the boys around. The wedding turned her into a monster. It was really a shame.

My MIL is mad because she assumed we would drive 3 hours to her "wedding" in Reno while I'm 38-39 weeks. Not only can we not stand the guy and they can't go longer then a month without breaking up (and have a very volatile relationship) but they decided to make this plan run away and get married 2 WEEKS AGO. For her this behavior is totally typical so we were able to brush it off but get real lady!
