Week/Fruit: 31 weeks/pineapple
Symptoms: sore hips, nerve pain down one leg
Cravings/Aversions: otter pops
Gender? Girl, no name chosen
GTKY: What's your best trick for beating the heat? I don't really have one other than ice water and standing in front of a fan. We are escaping to the coast this weekend, which should help
Symptoms: sore hips, sore back, cannot sleep longer than 4 hours without peeing, hot all the time and feet / hand swelling very mild though
Cravings/Aversions: fruit and veggies still. really enjoying food
Gender? Boy- no name chosen
GTKY: What's your best trick for beating the heat? Fan/air conditioning, I make sure after my semi hot bath to cool down with a quick cold burst of water before I get out otherwise I feel like im going to pass out. I have taken my rings off officially for the rest of the pregnancy. At work I'll run cold water on my wrists too. Staying hydrated.
GTKY: What's your best trick for beating the heat? Living in air conditioning! Lots of sundresses and cold water. I also take a cold shower when really necessary. So far the summer hasn't been too bad but I anticipate it will only be getting hotter!
Cravings/Aversions: I love eggs, but they seem to cause instant heartburn. I'm also currently craving everything that will probably make me fail my 3-hr glucose tolerance test.
Gender? Baron, boy #2
GTKY: What's your best trick for beating the heat? For me it was staying at my in-laws. Our a/c stopped working last week, so we stayed with them a few nights to beat the heat (it wouldn't get cooler than 86 degrees in our house). Otherwise, lots of water, cool damp towels, and indoor activities.
Symptoms: Back Pain and hip pain when trying to sleep
Cravings/Aversions:
Loving salty foods and nuts right now!
Gender? Girl Amelia Jo (AJ)
GTKY: What's
your best trick for beating the heat? Trying to stay indoors as much as possible and wearing loose fitting clothes when outside. Also just went to a waterpark over the weekend and stayed with my son in the kiddie area and lounged around in the water!
Symptoms: Feeling pretty good still. There are random days when I hit a wall and have NO energy but most days are pretty good. Starting to feel baby in my ribs when I've been sitting too long. Boobs started leaking last night... oh what fun!
Cravings/Aversions: ice cream and snow cones. Oh and most people probably won't know what this is but in Oklahoma we have a fast food joint called Sonic. We also have the Thunder NBA team with Kevin Durant... anyway, he's joined with Sonic and created some "signature slushes" that are soooo good!!! I want like 3 a day!
Gender? Girl, maybe Claire? We haven't decided 100% yet.
GTKY: What's your best trick for beating the heat? Other than the cold treats listed above just light weight clothes and air conditioning.
Symptoms: Stomach soreness; horrible back aches; my feet hurt a couple of minutes after i get out of bed after sleeping for a while, it goes away after walking for a bit; acid reflux; braxton hicks; shortness of breath; exhausted; feels like there's constantly something stuck in my throat; constantly have to pee; always uncomfortable; other than that i'm great! .....
Cravings/Aversions: anything sweet & pizza
Gender? boy - Samuel James
GTKY: What's your best trick for beating the heat? STAY INSIDE WITH LOTS OF FANS ON! haha but seriously, I live in south Louisiana where it's not only hot but super humid all the time! I try to wear cool, light colored clothing and try not to be outside too much. I eat lots of cold stuff too.
Symptoms: Tired, starting to feel a lot of the other symptoms posted. I've been really crampy as well. IDK if it's Braxton Hicks because they last for a long time and don't stop when I change positions.
Cravings/Aversions: Watermelon! I think I ate too much of it. I've been wanting really healthy, light foods. Also I finally was able to eat meat again!!! So good!!
Gender? Boy, Asher Daniel
GTKY: What's your best trick for beating the heat? I have been eating really cold watermelon, besides that the same things as everyone else. Whew! It is going to get hot this summer. Oh and lemon in my water is refreshing as well as putting a little bit of lavender oil in a spray bottle and misting yourself. Awesome.
