Frustrating Baby No. 2 Things

Like with anything (cars, cell phones, etc), as soon as you research and buy something it becomes obsolete and the better version comes out. My DD isn't even 2 yet, I went to Buy Buy Baby today to check into the converters to make my stroller a double, with both an extra seat and/or an option to make it a sit and stand.
The current version of the stroller has all of these awesome configurations, 2 seats, a seat and an infant seat, a bassinet and an infant seat. My not 2 year old stroller only has a sit and stand.
My $150 baby carrier, not 2 years old. Now you can wear the baby several ways and it seems more comfortable.
I'm going to look into selling my current stuff and buying new. With the stroller otherwise I have to email the manufacturer to get the parts I need.
Such is life...just a small rant. There are worse things.

    I don't know if bbb does this but bru in feburary offers to take your old stuff in as trade in for store credit. I'm also not sure if feb is the only month they do it, but its worth looking into? GL I am a FTM with alot of handme downs so I can see how your feeling and how in the future I may be in your shoes!

    The deal pp is talking about a bru isn't for store credit. They take old or expired/recalled baby gear items and you get a 25% off coupon to use on a new baby gear item. I definitely wouldn't trade in a perfectly good stroller just for a 25% off coupon. Just an fyi :-)

    I'm trying very hard to just not shop much for gear for #2.  I know we'll want a double stroller, but even that I'm holding off on as much as possible.  Feel badly that #2 won't have new stuff, but we liked all of #1's gear when we got it, there's no reason not to use it again if it's in good shape!

    I'm running into this a little, too! My bigger problem is pink stuff. Everything I have is pink, and this time around I've got a boy cooking... I'M ok with the pink gear, but DH is not. I at least got him to agree to buy/accept used and hand me down items. I just can't justify buying new EVERYTHING for the sake of my husband's pride (because we all know baby boy could care less!!).

    Yup, we got most of our stuff with my oldest who just turned five. It's like she was born decades ago at this point.

    I actually haven't run into this. Mine is 2.5, and most of what I've got is still available, just in different colours. I mostly have the basics though, and no infant stroller, just a jogger.
