    Hey Everyone!

Soooo not sure how Im doing really. Currently in my 7th week. Sunday before last I started spotting which lasted 2 days. I had HCG draws and Progesterone tested. HCG only increased by 38% in 48 hours which isn't great and progesterone was low at 9.5. I asked Dr about starting progesterone supplements but she said it was fairly controversial and they usually don't recommend once pregnancy has been established. She said I could get them if I wanted to however. I decided not to at the time. I guess my reasoning was if something is wrong and my body is trying to terminate then maybe I don't want to interfere with what should be a natural process and 9 while low is still within the "grey" range according to my doctor. I don't know... I go back and forth. Either way my first ultra sound is this Friday. I should be 8 weeks. It will either be a really good appointment or a really bad one. Im trying not to get my hopes up based on my HCG taken last week (increase was from 24,063 to 33,266 by the way).

Current symptoms are mild nausea and hungry all the time but that's about it. Oh and tired ;)

Hope all the other grads are doing well and still keeping my fingers crossed for all the TTC after 35 ladies ;)

rspalding001  HUGS you will be in my prayers tonight.   I'm pretty shocked that your Dr wouldn't give you progesterone supplements.  It is NOT controversial, and I know scores of women who were on progesterone suppositories or injections well into their first trimester.  I'm hoping so hard that your levels improve!

@rspalding001 sending lots of support your way. My dr. shares the very same views on progesterone. It's been very upsetting to me.

@rspalding001 - like @GoldenKeys, I'm shocked by this stance on progesterone!!  My RE automatically prescribes it for every medicated cycle and last pregnancy, I started it at about 5 weeks knowing that my lining had been super thin.  I took it until week 13!  I've never heard anything "controversial" about it.  I'm praying that everything is fine.  Please keep us posted.

Just as an aside, once your HCG level gets up that high, doesn't the doubling time or rate of rise level off?  So I'm not sure what 38% rise means...

Thanks everyone! Your support means a lot. Yeah I'm so conflicted on the progesterone thing. If this pregnancy doesn't stick I'll be sure to insist on the supplements with the next if I should be so lucky to have another shot. Right now I'm just trusting that what is meant to be will be. I hope I'm not making a mistake by not pushing for them now.

@emsmama15 your right, the doubling rate slows down the further along you get. I'm fairly certain they like to see at least a 50% increase however so 38 falls a bit short.

@rspalding001 I will keep you in my thoughts for your US.  I am sorry you are going through this. I agree with everyone else, I am surprised your OB is taking that stance on the progesterone.  Hopefully it is unwarranted.

AFM- 21w3d here.  Baby boy is getting bigger and stronger. I feel him a lot more now.  With his diagonal position with his head in my right pelvis and his feet in my left up quadrant, I feel him kick my side. It is the weirdest feeling and tickles sometimes.  Other than that, just moving along. :)

So its not good news. I am measuring 10 days behind (which is bad because I know when I ovulated so there is really no way I should be that far off). There was a heart beat but it was very week at 54 bmp (they like to see it over 100). The dr was trying to be positive but my heart is telling me this will be another loss. I had blood drawn again and they want to see me next week for a follow up ultra sound but... Im just to practical to expect anything but a loss at this point. All the signs are bad. Anyway. I just wanted to give you the update. Thank you all for your support. It really means a lot.

@rspalding001 I'm sorry you didn't get better news, but I'm going to hold out hope for you. My OB feels the same way about progesterone though she did write me a rx for 14.2 As far as me I've also had some bright pink spotting last weekend. Will be 7 w tomorrow. U/S not until July 8th so we are just in the waiting game. Boobs are super sore, exhausted, and nauseated pretty much all day. Unfortunately that was all true with the miscarriage too, so fingers crossed for everyone!
