Navel hospital and they're doctors make me sad :(

my husband is in the United States marine corps , and we've been trying to have a baby for 8 months now , we're both mid 20's... And having the hardest luck we've been using ovulation tests and nothing & navel hospital's doctors won't let me get a referrel to a fertility specialist until we've been trying for a year ... Idk what to do anymore it's making me depressed

Your naval doctors are correct. If you're under 35, you shouldn't see a fertility specialist before a year unless you have a known issue. It can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive. Eight months is really not that long, though I know that it feels like it

Don't be depressed - it is entirely normal to take up to a year and even if your doctor gave you a referral most RE's aren't going to be willing to see or test you until a year anyway. Most of the women on here will suggest temping instead of using OPKs, which is something you may want to consider.

It's just really stressful , like extra stressful since my husbands getting deployed .

Sorry I know all of us here are having problems its just sucks and I'm trying to stay positive . It's just hard , that's why I want to start coming on here more

TTC is definitely not as fun as TV and the movies make it out to be, and it can be downright stressful and depressing. However, if you aren't infertile definitely try to take hope in that fact. A good board for you to use to vent and comisserate would be the Trying to Get Pregnant board. Good luck!
