Can't remember if hospital procides everything...

I am finally starting to get some things together for our hospital stay. I know the hospital will provide pads, Peri bottles etc., but do they provide nursing pads and lanolin? It's been almost 4 years since I've done this so I don't remember! I'm guessing they did but I can't recall.

The funny thing is I don't even remember using nursing pads at all in the hospital, but I am sure I must have! And I don't think I packed them, so again assuming they provide them. As for the Lanolin, my hospital had sample packs that they gave me. You could always bring a tube just in case but ask them for some so that hopefully you don't have to use yours right away. It doesn't take up much room in the bag so NBD.

The hospital gave me Medela soothing gel pads which I used instead of nursing pads while I was there. They were awesome.

Bring your own nursing pads and Lanolin just in case though. Easy enough to pack those ahead.

I would call and ask. My hospital said they provided everything but I might want to bring my own slippers bc theirs were kind of small.

Mine gave me small tubes of Lanolin and gel pads. The hospital had everything I needed. Not having stuff at home is where I screwed up

I would pack some, just to be safe. I did not get that stuff at my hospital. Luckily my SIL brought me some as a gift. Both got used immediately!

See if your hospital has a web page with info or a l&d contact email. As not every hospital is the same.

Mine had small sample tubes of the lanolin. I had to ask for breast pads which they had but didn't just have out and ready like the postpartum pads and peri bottle.
