Pack n play question .

pack n plays have sheets for them , are the sheets really necessary ?

As a kid I had a playpen and from what I recall I don't remember any sheets in it (Maybe they weren't thought of then , who knows) or have I ever seen anyone use them .

If the material on the pack n play is like a easy clean material like most baby things are why waste and put a cotton sheet ?
I don't really understand the purpose of it tbh..

    Well when your baby has a diaper explosion, spit up and or both you might understand the purpose then ;)
    I always put pack n play sheets on

    Yes, you will want sheets so that you can just throw them in the wash. Especially because if you go away, you will most likely take the pack'n'play for baby to sleep in. You don't need a million sheets, 2 or 3 should be fine!

    Yes they do. And although the material of the pack n play tend to ve easy clean i think a cotton sheet is softer for baby to sleep/ rest on. Add bonus with DS who was a serious spitter it was nice to really wash the sheet for real.

    I didn't think that far cause mine has a napper but good reasons . :)

    I always just tucked a blanket in the bottom, it worked for me:)

    Ours has a bassinet too, but that is only for when they are really little, they will grow out of that before they grow out of the regular portion of the pack'n'play.

    I just made a flannel sheet for it. Much cheaper than buying an overpriced sheet.

    Don't get me wrong, I wish I was better at sewing so I could make some of my own stuff like this too; however the sheets are only around $8-10 at most stores and most stores offer coupons too, so I don't think they are really that pricey.

    I never used a sheet. She didn't sleep in it after 8 weeks old and just for playing when she was old enough to sit up in it I would lay a blanket in the bottom.

    It looks neater and the sheets stay in place. Without a sheet baby's skin gets stuck to the material. Blankets can shift and if they happen to fall asleep in there can pose a safety hazard. They are not terrible expensive. I got the Breeze during my shower and I HATE that that 4moms sheet costs $39.99, but I found an off brand sheet at BuyBuy Baby for $19 for a pack of 3 not too bad IMO
