Sex after amnio

How long after the amnio did you have sex?

We want to have sex tonight since he goes back to work for the week tomorrow morning. It's been over 48 hours since the amnio.

How long did you wait to do it?

    Kind of. We didn't ask but, The sheet paper they gave me says "for the next 24 hours avoid these things:" and sex was on that list.

    After googling, some doctors say 48 hours, some say 72 hours and some say 2 weeks. Quite a different range!

    I always go by what my doctor says. My first pregnancy was through IVF and some doctors say don't have sex for the first however many weeks. But a bunch… We waited the 3 days that our doctor recommended.

    I say if the paper work your doctor gave you says 24hours go for it. But then again that's usually my attitude towards sex. Hehe

    If your dr says 24 hours, and you're feeling up to it and aren't going 50 shades of gray- you're probably good. :)
