Just looking to see if anyone else here enjoys running or jogging. I was training for a race when I found out I was pregnant. I was fairly new to running (again). I started running when my son was about 6 months old. I made is 6 weeks into the c25k program and then my running partner stopped so I stopped too. Then I started again last October and then had a 3 month long cold so started AGAIN in January and then we were covered in either snow of ice for the month of February so finally I started running again for real in April and this time I finished the c25k training and ran a steady 10-11 minute mile for 3 miles for 3 weeks. The plan was to run the 3 miles for one more week and then move onto the 10k program. But I decided not to train for anything harder while pregnant and just maintain if possible and lighten up if need be. I go 3-4 days a week.
But today I tried to go and I made it almost 3/4 of a mile at a 12 minute mile pace and had to stop. I could physically feel the blood almost struggling to pump to my legs and I was getting a little bit dizzy so I stopped and walked home. When I got home I felt like I barely did anything (but I was still dizzy so I know stopping was the right thing to do). It was the first nice day we have had here in a long time. It's been between 97 and 100 degrees here every day with random thunder storms so I've been getting up 3-4 days a week at 5:30, even though I don't get home from work until between midnight and 1am, and braving the humidity that makes everything soaking wet and super heavy. And today was 77 degrees and no humidity and I hadn't even started breaking a sweat yet. But I had to stop so I guess I'll try again on Tuesday.
I don't want to stop running; but I will and start walking instead if it keeps happening.
