Update on Letrozole--First dose unsuccessful. Need some hope :-)

I had a follow-up ultrasound today after 5 days of 5 mg Letrozole, and nothing has starting growing yet. They said I have lots of follicles, but none are at the maturation stage of being close to ovulation. Likely, this means I'll take another round of Letrozole, at a higher dosage. My RE will contact me this afternoon with the plan. 

Anyone else have this happen?? Did you eventually ovulate on letrozole?

    Don't give up...I just tried Letrozole on cd 3-7 of my last cycle that started on May 20...I was disappointed on cd 13 when I went in for u/s to see only one follicle ready. But my husband kept reassuring me "we only need one..." and we did the trigger shot and bd'd that night and next day and morning after as instructed by my RE. Then during the tww I was impatient and I tested too early. Really believing nothing would work preparing myself for a new cycle. Come yesterday, 3 days late for AF, I have had 5 faint but clear BFPs. Just did the blood draw for beta hcg. I'm just taking it one day at a time. As my first pregnancy ended in a missed mc at almost 8 weeks so naturally a part of me has bad memories, but I'm trying to be positive. But we just keep trying, right? Best of luck to you...

    I am almost in the same situation. I took femera 5mg cd 3-7 went for my scan on cd 11 and had two 9mm folies with an almost complete lining. Dr said I needed to boost the femera at 7.5mg and take it cd11-17. On cd 17 I started to cramp and when TMI: I went to the rest room I had a lot of ewcm with a bit of brown in it. I cramped for about 2 more hours and it went away. I am not sceduled for a scan until friday but my Dr sent me for labs to see if I didn't ovulate already. She said with pcos and using femera its a guessing game sometimes to see how much meds your body needs.

    My situation is very similar. I went in on CD 17 for a scan and the doctor said I had no chance of ovulating (all follies under 10 mm) She said we could induce a period if I liked but because she was going to be on vacation I thought that I would wait it out. I kept charting just to stay in the habit and turned out I ovulated on CD 31! I got a 7 DPO blood draw and my progesterone was only 7.2 which indicates a weak ovulation. So we upped my dose of Letrozole this month and I'm currently WTO. Good luck!
