at my job it requires me to lift my patients . How much can I lift that wouldn't affect the baby ? Some friends tell me I'm not even suppose to be lifting anything is this true ?
My doctor said no weight lifting over 20lbs, but I know many pregnant women that lift toddlers heavier than that. I don't think you should be lifting full sized humans, though. Talk to your doctor.
I was told 20 pounds. Do you look any of your questions up on Google before you post them? I ask because you seem to have a small question like this every day, and I think maybe Google would be more appropriate. We are not your personal Google.
I post them on here because I prefer to talk to other people expecting rather than a search engine . If you don't like it don't post on it keep scrolling . We are all here to ask questions this is what this is for it should be a fun and informative thing .

This question has been asked a dozen times though. Use the search function. It's also been stated many times to use google or a pregnancy book first. And when it comes to your job you really should be talking to your doctor.

No, we are not your personal google, it is not fun answering question that could easily have been found with a 1 min Google search. It wouldn't be a big deal, however, you are posting these types of question almost daily now.
We are not doctors, and know nothing about your medical history, this is a question for your OB.

This is a community for conversation and participation. I've only seen you participate in one other thread other than your own and it was to say you had the same question. Take some time and lurk. Say hello or offer up advice on other threads and understand that we are not just here to answer your questions at your beck and call. I highly recommend picking up a copy of what to expect when you're expecting, or similar literature, as a first time mom you should be looking at published material and speaking with your doctor before consulting an online forum for information. First of all we are not doctors, some of us may not even be women, and there are a fair bit of people that are probably just trolls. Information received in a question such as this could be misleading and even dangerous.
I don't mind answering your questions. Actually almost 80% of these questions people ask could be googled. And the other 20 a therapist would be able to help with. If I don't want to answer a particular question I just scroll past it.
As a second time mom my advice won't always apply to a first time mom. I have no choice in whether or not I get to lift my 35lb toddler, but when I was pregnant with him I never lifted anything heavier than a laundry basket once I hit 30 weeks. Situational, ask your doctor about the specifics and use common sense until then.

That's fine and all, but you literally post a question EVERY day. It gets excessive. We aren't medical professionals so we could give the wrong advice or info. Also, I haven't seen you contribute much to the community, so as someone else said, lurking would be a good idea.
@rbradshaw77 it's funny You say that. My son is a total mommas boy & weighs 40lbs. I have never asked my dr because it's something I am going to do either way. I obviously try to limit it and not as much as before I was pregnant. But I'm not going to just stop carrying him and definitely not because I'm pregnant(that scares me that he will have anger towards the baby already) If there were problems and such I think it would be different but in a normal healthy pregnancy lots of woman have other kids hey have to tend to.
Use your common sense and ask your doctor. Every situation/pregnancy is different, there is no one size fits all answer to this question. I was just put on weight restriction at work this past week.
A question like this you always want to ask your doctor in case we are wrong. We don't know your medical history. We don't know if there something you're not telling us that could harm you or your child. For example you may already have a slipped disc and while lifting a patient you could end up permanently paralyzed or some nonsense because rather than asking your doctor you relied on an Internet forum.
Dude. If you are at a job where you have to lift heavy patients how are you still wearing pants that are too tight? My question: at what point in pregnancy do your pants that are too tight actually combust while lifting a heavy patient?
This is definitely something I would have asked my doctor before this point in pregnancy. I suggest you ask yours rather than a random message board. It can vary depending on how your pregnancy is going. And Google is your friend in this case.

The search function exists for a reason, and you likely could have found the feedback you were looking for in an existing thread. I could have easily just kept scrolling or closed the thread, but then
you copped this 'Whatever, the rules don't apply to me and I'll do what I
want!' attitude... Would it have been so hard to just apologize and
move on?
I lift my 48lb child from time to time but that's a far cry from lifting full grown patients. My doctor refused to give me clearance for nursing school because I am required to lift patients in clinical. You should probably be on restrictions at your job. Talk to your doctor.
Wow, just wow!!! I don't know wheather your attention seeking or being genuine with your questions. Everyday it's something new. Do you not have friends or even family you can go to, to ask questions like this? Please do not tell people If you don't like it don't post on it keep scrolling. It's rude. You can't always tell the type of post just through the title. So of course people are going to look & comment if they want to. No one has been rude to you. That aside, you should probably speak to your GP/OBGYN about this. Although this should have been something you spoke about earlier.

Best answer!
