New member - first miscarriage

Hi everyone,

I am a new member who was brought here while looking for support.

I got my BFP 3 weeks ago and was beyond excited. I have a 15 month old and was so happy to give him a sibling. My doctor gave me a blood test and simply told me I was pregnant.

Last weekend, I began spotting a small amount of pink discharge and was given a lab order for an HCG. Unfortunately, my HCG was only 31 at 5 weeks. I began bleeding early Monday morning. I am so heartbroken and defeated. It took a couple years to get my son, I don't want to go through that again.

    I am so sorry for your loss. This board is full of support from parents that are all in the same, undesired club of child loss. My doctor keeps telling me that since I have had one healthy pregnancy, the chances of multiple miscarriages are slim, but I am still terrified of it happening again and not so naive to think 'it wont happen to me'. Take time for your self, maybe have family watch your little one for a few days to just process everything and heal mentally and physically.
