Do any of you ladies know of a rocker that has all the same options as the mamaroo? I'm looking for something that has all the same functions, and a lower price tag!
We went with the mamaroo. I will say if you are a couponer you can find it cheaper. It's honestly one of a kind so definitely look for it cheaper (I'm horrible at getting things at a discounted price so I'm no help).
I seen something similar at Walmart today. I was in a hurry so I didn't get to check it out too much to see what all features it had but it looks really simular
I've seen them on clearance for previous year mideals on Amazon and at babies r us. You can always buy used off Craigslist or local city baby resale page, or a local baby resale store.
I got the basic one at Target on sale for $100 as a secondary swing to my snuggapuppy swing because it's much lighter and easier to move around. I am getting the mamaroo that is super expensive used from my sister. Her baby hated it so I said send it over!! Maybe you know someone you could borrow one from?
So glad you guys are speaking about mamaroo. Thankful that someone passed one on to us for our child. My question is do you buy a momaroo newborn kit to or what do you buy to make sure the baby is safe and snuggled in the swing? Thanks in advance.:)
@saratiff show me your couponing ways lol. Seriously, I'm horrible. I'll just buy because I have no patience to look for a promotion or deal. That's a great price considering what I paid.
I was fortunate to get one as well as a Rockaroo at my baby shower, but please EBay and Craig's list for "slightly used" ones if that is your thing. I saw some great prices for both items. Good luck

Yes you need the newborn insert while the baby is small, but I want to say they are only about $30 or so. Can't wait to use ours! It's all set up waiting for little man. I work as a NICU nurse and when the Mamaroo came around it seriously was a game changer when it came to calming cranky babies, there is nothing else like it on the market!
@CaliforniaDream87 I wish I had a super secret but I walked into babies are us and it was out front on clearance and I just said done and bought. I try and make friends with the people who work there because they can usually tell you when things will go on clearance.
What I really want more than anything right now is the breeZe play yard. I fell in love at first set up and then to close I swooned no heckling with the damn pack and play. We will see how my showers go.
Just remember that not all babies like items like this. I wouldn't invest in one until I knew my baby liked it. My son only liked the swing, we took ours to the resale shop and bought 2 more swings, it was more beneficial for us to have a swing in each room.

The only way to know what baby likes is to try. My son absolutely HATED the swing. It's still in perfect condition. However, the only way we would've known was to try it. OP, I say buy it and try it out. If it doesn't work you cans always re-sell and some stores would even let you exchange (as long as you keep original packaging and receipt).
