Anything is fine as long as it is doing the job. As my doctor said, as long as you're not eating it, you're fine. Skin absorption is minimal.
That said, I use a combination of Cetaphil and Neutrogena with a Clarisonic. It's the only thing that keeps my hormonal acne (which I only have while pregnant) in check.
I currently use cetaphil with my clarisonic brush, which I'm really not a fan of (the wash, not the brush). I previously used Philosphy Purity but opted for a cheaper option. I think when my bottle of cetaphil is done I'll switch back.

This is good to read/hear. I recently got scared of using my body wash that has 2% salicylic acid in it bc I heard you're supposed to steer clear.
I'm in the very beginning of reading "Expecting Better," I wonder if she touches on this topic in that book.

I was worried about that last time too (until my doctor basically calmed me the f*ck down and told me I would be fine). Unless you're using prescription strength, it's not going to do anything. Just try not to get it in your mouth. But even if you do, as long as it's a small amount, you'll be fine.

I'm halfway through Expecting Better- I'm loving it!
Any particular reason for changing? If it's purely pregnancy related then I say keep using what you were using. If you dislike it or it isn't working then /\ what they said.
BFF (Best Face Forever) by Perfectly Posh! It's a naturally based product that smells amazing and really wakes me up in the AM which has been great for me with not feeling the greatest from symptoms. Check it out!
Nice suggestions... Apparently I live in a jungle because I havnt heard if the majority of these. I'll have to pay more attention in the face wash isle, I normally just grab the cheapest thing and jet outta there.
Ive used philosophy purity since before my first. I love it because it's gentle and doesn't have a strong fragrance. Their facial scrub is also great as well as Hope in a Jar face loition. They are more pricey compared to the grocery store but my husband and I can both share the large bottle for a year
I found a great beauty product line called Belli, I think it was on this app, has a 20% discount. All products tested for safety in pregnancy, no parabens etc. Products smell really good too!
I'm obsessed with becoming all green and natural due to hazardous chemicals that I never knew were in sooo many beauty products. When I downloaded the Think Dirty app I couldn't believe it. I definitely recommend looking at how things rate, even aveeno and ceraphil have harmful chemicals.
I totally recommend the Acure organic brand for face wash, skin creams, shampoo, & conditioner and they are all sold at Target now and they each are affordable prices about $9.99
I use Avalon Organics Lavendar Facial cleansing milk. I love Acure Brightening Facial Scrub. I also love using unrefined coconut oil for a face moisturizer.
Love all these suggestions!! Kind of along the same topic, what are you using for makeup? I have some friends who didn't change their makeup routine at all (typical drugstore makeup) and then some friends who went like all natural vegan BB creams and foundations. Thoughts?

I haven't changed my routine yet, but honestly, I'm not much for a makeup wearer anyway..I have tarte amazonian clay foundation I'll occasionally use. In this heat though I've mostly stuck with tinted moisturizer when I've absolutely had to have makeup on...

I wear bronzer and a little eye makeup (light eye shadow, tightlined eyeliner, and mascara). Not changing anything.
I went from using garnier foaming wash (it's got pomegranate and grapefruit I think) to yes to tomatoes. The garnier wasn't doing anything for the acne on my chest and the new stuff seems to be helping. As far as makeup is concerned, no changes here
I'm switching to all natural makeup but started doing that pre-pregnancy. I love the 100% Pure online brand - they have everything & the products are so beautifully packaged and made with fruit pigments, are vegan, & cruelty free. They make everything you could want for natural makeup. I figure the less chemicals the better. Also get the Think Dirty free app! It rates all beauty products 1-10 with how much toxins are in them!!
