  I was hoping this would be in the other current events thread, and I was so glad to see there was one started about it!
  
  I really don't know if we should be proud or ashamed though. Proud that gay marriage is finally legalized in all 50 states, or ashamed that it took us SO long to stop wearing our asses as hats and that we are only the 20th to legalize it. It's long overdue!

  I actually just got done have a celebratory lunch with a group of friends. (They saved me from the arbys drive thru line I was waiting in) and I actually had 2 friends announce their engagement (so 4 people, 2 couples) today there too! I'm so happy about this! Just in time for the end of pride month too!

  I'm glad to see this ruling come down just as I was proud of my home state (MA) for legalizing gay marriage some time ago. I have to say, as a heterosexual Catholic I never understood the opposition from my religious leaders in particular and was always bothered by it, but I'm glad the government got it right. Everyone deserves love and happiness. Congrats to all who can now marry legally and could not before.

  this is actually the first I'm hearing of this, it made my day because usually I'm a little apprehensive of what I may find when I check the forum, lol.  I'm glad so many couples are finally getting their happy ending.
