What was the last meal you had before the big moment!! Just for fun

i am getting induced on Friday. Friday I be 40w1d. And I just freaking out about pooping!!! While pushing. I know is normal if it happened but I trying to prevent it lol. I not a meat eater but doesn't been anything. This pass days my body has been cleaning it self. I go to the bathroom right after every meal. I just a little worry and what to see, what u girls had to eat before and if u had an accident while pushing.

  • Getting induced tomorrow so tonight I'm having mexican food and cake :)

  • Its only 2 weeks ago, but it feels like so much longer. I'm not sure but I think I probably had Keema (a kind of Indian lamb mince curry), Dhal and Carrot Upkari (carrots cooked with onion, desiccated coconut and spices). I'm sure I had cake - chocolate cinnamon pound cake.
  • Ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans and salad (we went to dinner at my inlaws). It was tasty and provided me with the energy needed to get through a long night of labour!

As for pooping. I didn't poop, but kinda wish I had, as it would've made my first PP poop a little less scary!

  • I had lasagna, rolls, green salad, and ice cream for dessert. I wasn't allowed to eat past midnight (6AM induction) but DH was sneaking me chex mix while I was hooked up to pitocin because I was starving and ice chips weren't cutting it. I didn't poop at all during labor but I also didn't have any issues with my body cleaning itself out before labor either.

Burger King... It was either that or starve....I am happy I chose the grease...
  • Hot carrots and a Bean and cheese burrito with enchilada sauce, salsa and more cheese on top. Fried ice cream for dessert. I went when I started having contractions...no accidents though
  • After my cervical ripening, my SO and I drove about 30 minutes up the road to the nearest Italian restaurant and I ate lasagne...I was contracting the whole time. We came home and took about a 2 hour nap and when I woke up we decided we needed to go back to labor and delivery. My water broke after filling out my paperwork to get checked back in. A few hours later it was time to start pushing and I definitely pooped on myself. I was soooo worried about pooping while delivering, but if you happen to do it then it doesn't matter like you thought it would. :) so don't worry!!
  • Eggs and I can't remember what else after having contractions through the night. Last big meal was Panang Curry with Chicken. Water had broken and we were trying spicy food to start those contractions! I thought I popped during labor but DH doesn't think so. I wouldn't have cared if I did! My team has seen it all
  • I was a week late and I had to be induced, the last thing I ate was chicken strips and French fries from backyard burgers and a couple giant homemade chocolate chip cookies (courtesy of my mama) :D I didn't poop....but believe me you will feel like you are about to...not just in delivery either, long before you push! I could have sworn I was about to poop everywhere, but luckily I didn't! Even if you do they will wipe it away and you'll never even realize you did it :)

    I had a bagel and a donut & I didn't poop :)

  • I had eggs, rye toast with peanut butter, watermelon, Nutella and graham crackers. Pooped a bunch but didn't care one bit.
  • Big 'ol burger, potato salad, milkshake! Pooped twice (in toilet) while laboring, then pooped during pushing, too. NBD. Poop happens.
  • I went into the hospital to be induced on a wed at o6pm and was told not to eat past noon that day... F that I had pizza and wings at 5 pm right before I went in! I was closed thick and high and knew there was no way I was having a baby that night! Glad I did eat bc I didn't have the baby until 7:10 am on Saturday and all I had was beef broth and water the 2.5 days I was there! I didn't poop but take some colace or miralax today if your worried about it!
  • I actually drove to the Whataburger by my house while my contractions were 5 minutes apart... I'm crazy I know. But I was starving and knew I wouldn't be able to eat for a long while after getting to the hospital. Also I knew I had a few hours until my husband could come take me to the hospital anyways. I had the avacado bacon burger with fries and an iced tea. No pooping for me.

I had baked ziti right before I went into labor. Once contractions kicked in full force I threw it all up. And I'm pretty sure I still pooped a bit, but my L&D nurse was an absolute rock star and was super discreet.
  • Had a chicken sandwich before this little guy made his arrival. I did however throw it up while in labor so that was no fun! Good luck ladies! It's worth every miserable contraction!!
  • Breakfast. Scrambled eggs and toast. Was not allowed anything other than 'clear foods and liquids' after induction, but I was allowed to eat some jello packs thru the day. I did not poop during pushing, but I had pooped earlier in the day in between cytotec and the Dr breaking my water.

  • I had otter pops. But I had a three day induction hadn't eaten for 30 hours and still pooped when pushing. But my labor pretty much sucked until my baby girl was here hahaha. I also knew I was pooping so that was super gross. I kept apologizing about it in between pushes and yelling at this one nurse who was holding my leg really awkwardly so I couldn't brace on it at all. So many people poop though I really don't think anyone other than me cared.
  • The night before my water broke we had a fancy Taco Bell dinner because per usual was too tired to cook. After the Cytotec induction, I tried to get real dinner but started having contractions quickly and didn't make it out of the hospital. Ended up eating crappy Sbarro pizza.

DH said I did not poop. With an epidural, I certainly could not tell either way!
  • Jello. The nurse at the hospital wouldn't give me anything else. But the night before I had a bowl of cereal :-??
  • Thanks lady's. I know that when the moment comes I will not care. But right now everything is crossing my mind. Good luck to everyone!!!❤️❤️
  • While in labor, I had scrambled eggs and toast, followed by a peanut butter, jelly, and banana sandwich. Guess I was going for protein/energy. I did not have nausea, but did poop a few times while laboring at home. No poop while pushing, but baby came out fast!
  • I guess my last meal was a bowl of ice cream was my dinner that night and a snack of a banana after my water broke because I didn't want to go to the hospital starving. I didn't poop during pushing but had diarrhea during my contractions and vomited too.
  • Last meal before I went into labor was a waffle cone of chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream. Started having random contractions overnight, but before it got regular I had a bowl of cereal and glass of dark chocolate almond milk for breakfast. Once I knew it was the real deal, I had a toasted turkey sandwich, chips, and a cut up bell pepper for lunch before heading to the hospital.

My body was doing a pretty good job of cleaning me out before stuff really got moving. I don't think I pooped on the table. If I did, no one told me, and I don't care anyway. I would have gladly pooped on all the things to get her out of me. But that's what 7 hours of active pre-epidural back labor followed 4 hours later by 2.5 hours of pushing will do to you.

It took me 4 PP days to poop again, even though I ate like a maniac after the birth. Stool softeners are my bff right now.
  • Spaghetti pizza. And it wound up being my first meal when I got home which is super because my hubby really doesn't care for it.
  • Pasta with tomato sauce... Same thing I had the night before I had my first baby. Don't know if I pooped because it was only five minutes between my water breaking/pushing and baby girl being born.... Too fast to tell! I don't think so, though.

I'm positive I pooped. And more than once. I thought I would freak out if I knew it happened while pushing, but when it was actually happening I could not care less. All I cared about was getting LO out because damn it was hard work. And I had to have an oxygen mask on and it was so hot and sweaty and uncomfortable it took away from worrying about the pooping. I am going to send the labor and delivery nurses a little thank you present because what they do for us is unbelievable.

Oh. And I pooped once at my house before we left for the hospital and once when we first got there before I checked in so I actually really thought popping during pushing would not happen to me. Oh well : )
