Epidural back pain

.. I just don't want to feel so alone in this so don't hate on me for asking. I've been experiencing pain on and off around where the epidural was placed and I was just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat and if it ever went away. I feel like giving birth really messed up my body and I just don't even know why it still hurts because I feel it shouldn't since it's been over six weeks.

Re: Epidural back pain

  • I had a c section and they poked me for a good 20 mins to find a good spot to put the needle. That being said...I'm 10 1/2 wks out and still have a bit of pain in the spot. Almost they they bruised my bone..ouch!!

  • At least yours comes and goes. I have a spot that everytimr I bend over it feels like that one spot of my back is broken!!! I hear it can take a long time for some people to have zero pain from it.
  • I have it as well and it's every time I stand up. My epi fell out twice when I was in labor so maybe this is why I'm experiencing this.
  • I believe it's b/c our bones got bruised from the needle..at least that's what someone told me
  • I had constant pain in my back then developed a rash. Turns out it is shingles. Now burning needle like pain on top of back ache.
  • I have the same problem my hole body has messed up I used to be a very healthy person size six and went up to a 14 I struggle with day to day task with the aches and pains I am now getting and it's really getting on top of me now x
