As first time parents dh and I obviously had no baby stuff. Our families and friends started buying and giving us stuff long before we found out our baby was a girl. One thing that was given to us was a really nice brown suede diaper bag from Carter's. It's basically brand new. The inside is blue with brown and green polka dots. I'm contemplating using it instead of buying a "more girly" style. What do you guys think?
Re: Does color really matter?
He has a solid black 1 and I have 1 with green, blue, & red polka dots. We're also having a girl, but figured we'd go with what our personal "styles" were since we'll be carrying them around.
However, I'm going to be the odd ball poster here. With DS, I went for something more "nuetral" considering I thought my H would be having to carry it too. Didn't want him rocking a pink bag and he wouldn't have like that too much. This time I'm picking something super girlie because...I couldn't the last time. This doesn't have much to do with the sex of the baby rather than me wanting what I want.
@KaylaLovesNoah love that bag!
I'm boring and got a black bag (because I'm more of a 'black, white, grey and dark navy at the absolute most' girl) but that's just because it's the baby bag I've always wanted, not because it's gender neutural or because my husband will be less allergic to it or anything.
My husband is like yours @kedbach if it's there he'll carry it for me because he personally values being a gentleman very highly. Unless I tell him to or act like I expect it and then he flat out refuses and leaves my stuff and walks off (this has happened at the airport when I've said "carry this" when I was hormonal and bitchy.. Haha. I learnt not to do that pretty quick!)
Here's a photo of my bag because who doesn't like to look at handbags/baby bags..
