Hey ladies,
Does anyone else have trouble with taking temps around the same time everyday? This is my first month temping, so far my times have varied between 6:15 - 7:45. My problem is that I always wake naturally before my alarm, no matter the time. I usually wake up between 4am-6am, but don't need to be up then, so I try to go back to sleep, makes things difficult for me. This is my chart so far...
Re: Temping question
This. My alarm is set for 5:30. I don't have to be up at 5:30 (usually) but that way I know I'll have consistency. Just take the temp and go back to sleep. Get a thermometer that saves the last temp and then read it when you do get up later.

I asked tHis in WTO but I'll ask it here too...
I usually wake up around 5-5:30, yen and go right back to sleep. On the off occasion that one of my kids wake up in the middle of the night I'll temp before going to them if it's close to my regular time and I've had enough hours of sleep. Last night my 3 year old needed me in the middle of the night and I didn't temp because I thought I'd get a full 3 hours of sleep before waking again so I could temp at a more normal time but that didn't happen. Do I mark that temp as sleep deprived?

Thanks again!

7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
Thanks! I'm hoping for a negative opk tomorrow in hopes that I caught my surge today. And hopefully my temps will correlate!
ETA: words, wrong tag.
Also I find the BD EOD across a whole month to be a bit much. By tracking cycles, you can target your BDs so they have the best chance of conceiving. I am not saying that BD isn't fun, but it could help you in case you get tired of BD EOD.

I love sex with my DH but honestly it's hard to keep up with EOD! Temping charting gives you a much more detailed fertility window and following your temps lets you know what's going on with your body. You don't have to question am i pregnant because you're temps will reflect it.
I see some people said it doesn't work this way, but I don't understand why. Is it because three hours haven't passed?
I haven't been temping very long (or trying the method of recording a temp every 3 hours), but I did notice that my temps dropped a few tenths of degrees when I started waking up 1-2 hours before my usual 4:25am wake up. The 4:25 temps are also generally lower than my temps in a three month period where I was temping at 6:30am.

Everyone's body is different, plus, FF always says to never discard temps, and that taking them within an 1 1/2 hour time frame is still going to be fairly accurate, if memory serves. It's ok for temps to be a little wonky, the main thing is the overall pattern.
I mean, I guess if people want to do science experiments on themselves they can.... I just find it odd.
