Double suture

So, when I talked to my doc the other day about my hopes for a vbac she was all for trying. She said she even does "double suturing" to help with vbac success in the future. I'd never even heard of this before. She probably told me after my the section, but I was so out of it afterwards I probably just don't remember. Anyone else's doc tell them about this?

    There's really no good research whether single is better or worse than double at the moment. There's studies that contradict each other so jury is out

    Double layer closure seems to decrease the risk of rupture in most studies, but there's not enough data on the subject for there to be a specific recommendation.
