FTM baby cries everytime he is put to bed

Hi ladies
I have a 1 month old son that cries everytime we put him down for bed. We have fed him (breastfed), changed his diaper, swaddled him, rocked him,sang to him, cuddled with him for 20 minutes, burped him, he is gassy so we started giving him gripe water but still nothing really seems to work except his pacifier. The problem with the pacifier is that every time it falls out he starts crying again and it falls out every 5 to 10 mins. He isnt getting great sleep and we arent either. Any help or suggestions please

    Just a suggestion but have you tried some type of white noise? We used to run a little fan in her room but we found out that it didn't drown out all the other noises going on in the house , so we bought a Dohm. It is great little machine that creates white noise and you can adjust the volume on it. That thing has been a life saver for us. I wish we would have started using it right when we took her home.
