Suddenly morning sickness

I am 11 weeks today and have had some nausea, but never threw up and it has been getting better in the past week or so. Then I wake up this morning and as soon as I sat up I gagged and had to run to the bathroom. I thought it was just cause I sat up quickly or something. Now, I just threw up my breakfast. I have a terrible migraine since last night. I'm not sure if this is normal to come about this late when my sickness has been on the low side, or if I might have some stomach bug and should call the doctor?

Re: Suddenly morning sickness

  • My dr says to call for anything just to ease my mind. I did read that you may switch out nausea for headaches as we head into the second Tri. If you're sensitive to headaches, that may have caused vomiting. Either way, that sucks. I hope you feel better.

  • I had no sickness at all until 9 weeks. In fact, my only symptoms were my very sore boobs and ridiculous bloating which I was over the moon about!

Now, I have sickness sometimes all day and I have had headaches. I googled and read that it was normal so I'm accepting it as normal (well, as normal as pregnancy can be..).

If in doubt call your doctor I'm sure they will put your mind at rest :-)
  • The first time i vomited was yestirday at 10 weeks 2 days and today have come very close! Maybe your neasea is migraine related also! Make sure you get your fluids in and ring doc if you need to x

Thank you guys! I called the nurse yesterday and she said it's either normal pregnancy symptoms or the stomach flu that is going around my city. Either way, I don't need to come in unless I can't keep anything down for more than half a day. Yesterday was better after lunch, so I guess we'll see how today goes.
  • Mine has def gotten worse at 10 weeks!  I think it may have t odo with switching prenatals.
