TWW post (week of 6/22 - 6/28)

HI everyone! This is a two week wait post for anyone who is in or soon will be in the TWW. Tell us your symptoms (no matter how crazy they may be!), how many DPO you are, and when/if you'll test. Good luck everyone!

I'm currently at 6dpo. Feeling the usual side effects from taking progesterone: dizzy moody, bloated, headaches, etc. The progesterone does a good of of masking any early pregnancy signs so there's no point in trying to symptom-spot. But on a gut level, I don't think this is my cycle. I'm having doubts about whether or not I really did O. My temps are continuing to roller coaster up and down, although they have been staying above the coverline.

I guess I'll start testing on Sunday, which will be 12dpo. I'll test up until 15dpo and if everything is negative, then I'll stop the progesterone.

We're going to visit my grandparents in Florida for the 4th of July. They live right on the water so that will be nice.

I'm 8 dpo. I've been a little crampy the last 2 days, I'm exhausted, and have had some dizziness, though that may be because I haven't been eating well/much the last few days (DH has been pretty sick and it's been crazy around here). I'm hopeful but still constantly on the lookout for spotting, which can start any day now if AF is going to show up. I'll test Sunday if she hasn't shown by then.

Our town has a Horribles Parade (if you're not familiar, think a parade of floats of the year's news events, done in very poor taste) that runs right down our street. We host a brunch-y kind of party (the parade is early) for our friends, then we'll head over to another friend's house.

Hoping to join you all in a few days!! Egg retrieval today and then plans to transfer on day 3 (Thursday).

Been out of town for ivf cycle, so looking forward to a relaxing three day weekend at home over the 4th.

I'm hoping to join you soon, too. Today is CD8 and I usually get a high opk reading on day 8, but I didn't today. I usually O on CD10, which is early, so it might be a good thing that it's not starting yet. But since it's my 3rd cycle post-d&c, anything out of the ordinary makes me wonder if I'll have another annovulatory cycle. Fx that all goes well.

Today is 9dpo, and I'm trying not to drive myself crazy. In addition to peeing on sticks, I'm also obsessively watching the SCOTUSblog announcements to see if the same-sex marriage case decision is coming out. (Nothing today, maybe Thursday or next Monday.)

I should wait to pee on sticks, I know. I should. Why won't I follow that advice?

I'll spend the 4th watching my wife run a big, fantastic 10k through our city (with live music, thousands and thousands of people). I might walk it with her, if I get a BFN and my RE agrees that it's an okay idea to take off a cycle to rest my ovaries (and get the HSG test I was promised if things don't happen for the 3rd IUI). No way can I handle the race if I'm on letrozole again.

There's also a bonfire with friends that evening.

@KLake42 - I too have a weakness for peeing on sticks :-) I tell myself every cycle I'll be good and wait until the end, but it never happens. Although I haven't peed on any sticks yet because I'm only 6dpo. I'm trying to wait until I'm at least 12dpo. Will power is a hard thing sometimes...

Good luck with egg retrieval @dolphin012 and FX for lots of BFPs, everyone!

CD 22, 8DPO. I may have already POAS, even though it's too early.

Pretty good timing this month (-3, -1, O), and I actually have a pretty chart that lines up nicely with OPKs for once. I'm side-eying my thermometer a bit because it's giving me a string of consistent temps, but it's supposed to be accurate within .1 degree and I've checked my temp at other times to be sure it isn't "stuck", and it seems to be fine.

I'm symptom spotting like a mofo, and I need an intervention. Wet CM today, and I swear my cervix is higher and softer than it was a few days ago. I also think I may have a sinus infection; I've been crazy tired, headachy, and generally not feeling well.

We're hosting a small BBQ on the 4th-family and a few close friends.

@jilligan14 - I was feeling very down about one of my cycles (ultimately, obviously, I wasn't pregnant), but I went back and looked at the cycle I got pregnant with my daughter and my post-ovulation temps were REALLY rocky. I'll see if I can post a pic. I wouldn't worry too much about your post-o temps. This is not to give false hope, but just to let you know, it can happen even when you feel like it won't. Also of note, we had the worst timing ever that month. :-?

@FemShep, the month I got pregnant, my temps from 6DPO to 10DPO were all really close. Wobbling back and forth between 98.6 - 98.66.

Oh wow, your temps were really rocky that cycle. Why did FF give you the dotted crosshairs? And yeah, your timing wasn't the best but wow, it just goes to show that anything can happen, right? I think this is my 6th cycle temping and unfortunately I didn't temp for either of my pregnancies last year (I started temping after my second mc). So far every cycle has been drastically different, except for my post-O temps the last two cycles. I thought I was finally getting into a groove. But it's reassuring to know that a crazy chart can still result in good news!! Thanks so much for sharing. I will stay hopeful and see what happens...

I'm 7dpo we bd on 3,1,0 this is the first cycle we have a high in ff fertility analyzer (usually its good). I've been extremely tired, but that could be due to the hot temperatures outside. I have an increase of creamy cm. usually at this point in my cycle its sticky/creamy but not a lot. Other than that I have all my usual pre AF symptoms. Good luck to all

I'm 7dpo today. I feel hungover. Really tired a little crampy, dizzy and a bit nauseous.
BFN this morning. I didn't expect it to be positive yet, I just like to pee on stuff. /:)

I have no plans for the 4th as of yet.

After 4 blank circles, my opk skipped to the solid smiley. I'm curious to find out if my O day is today or tomorrow. We'll see what FF has to say in a few days. I'd be 8 or 9DPO on the 4th, so that might be a fun day to test. Kind of early, but if I had a BFP, that would warrant some fireworks.

I'm feeling hormonal and moody, which is not my usual frisky ovulatory self. Hopefully the sperm and egg don't care what mood I'm in.

Ok so i am officially in! My first IVF transfer was today! Normally i do pretty well with the tww, but i am sure i will be obsessing for this one!!

@CarrieandRoy -- surely sperm and eggs are always frisky by nature. Well at least those squirmy little sperm. I hear the egg can be a bit stubborn at times and make them work for it

*UPDATE* Currently at 10dpo, have resisted all urges to pee on sticks (it's been so incredibly tough, I feel like we need a support group for those who are addicted to peeing on sticks), and am feeling mild cramps/twinges, headaches, and nauseous too. I know all of these could be caused by the progesterone I'm taking, but everything feels more intense than usual. Trying to stay realistic but can't help but feel some hope too. I'm going to test on Sunday because I'll be 12dpo. Unless I find the willpower to wait even longer. We will see...

Love hearing everyone's updates. Fingers crossed someone gets a BFP soon!!!

I keep trying to post my full message but it cuts off the bottom part. I know it's still somewhat early but I feel that it's really not my cycle and the reality and sadness is already sinking in. I had so many symptoms, i guess all from the progesterone!

@thistle8677 - I have some cheap tests so I'll probably use them to test tomorrow and the next day. I'll use one of the fancy tests on Wed, which will be 15dpo. If everything is negative, then I'll stop taking the progesterone and wait for AF to come. But I already feel defeated :-(

@jilligan14 I am so sorry you are feeling defeated. I've used so many tests this month because i was so sure I'd get an answer by 8-9dpo. I wish I knew how to make any of this easier...I'm sending you some positive energy and everything is crossed for you xo >:D<

Definitely BFN for me. And I feel better about it now than the last week of the 2WW. That wait is so freaking hard!!! Now, I know that my RE wants me to get more tests, and maybe they'll have bad results, and maybe I'll be closer to the place where I decide to stop TTC and start trying to adopt instead (which will bring all kinds of anxiety and waiting and expenses), but for now, for today, I'm feeling okay. I know this next cycle is just going to be about getting some tests. Okay. That's all I have to deal with today. (It does help me, really, that my BFN came hand in hand with finding out that I'm married in all 50 states, and most especially important, my own home state.) I hope everyone is doing okay. This process sucks. It helps to have this forum, to know I'm not going through these things alone. (edited for typo)

@KLake42 - sorry you got a BFN and that you have to do more testing. Blah. Hopefully you get some solid answers soon! I was thinking of you the other day when I saw the same-sex marriage law was passed in all 50 states!! How exciting!!

@KLake42 , I admire your in the moment attitude and peacefulness with what "is." The TWW is so hard and to be ok with disappointment at the end of it requires some real mental strength (that I'm working on, but have yet to master). Congrats on the recognition of your marriage, too! A big day for our country!

@KLake42 -- yes, congrats on your marriage getting the respect it deserves! It's mind-boggling that it took this long, given that the Declaration of Independence said we were all created equal and have certain unalienable rights. But whatever. I'm happy for you. =D>
