gush of fluid 1 week after csection

anyone have a gush of pinkish brownish fluid from their section incision? This morning it was just leaking a little fluid then this evening I was nursing my son and I felt a large warm gush of fluid come out. I called the emergency line at the drs office and he seems to think its ok as long as I don't have a fever etc But it definitely scares me...and it's still leaking fluid..it's not blood, just watery pinkish brownish fluid. Has this happened to anyone else??

Yup - my midwife came and took a swab and sent to the lab to verify no infections. There is a tiny tear less than 1 cm and the fluid has been gushing from there. I set a maternity pad horizontally in my panty over the incision to soak up the fluid and got a prescription for antibiotics incase there is an infection. Midwife informed my OB's office and I see my OB this week to follow up. Apparently nothing to be alarmed about.

Great thanks...yeah I went to the dr today and it's a small spot where it's draining and they packed it and will continue to pack it until it heals. Apparently it's pretty common.

Wow I had no idea that could happen. Good to know if I ever get pregnant again and need a csection. I think I would have lost it if that happened to me. Glad everything is ok with you both!!
