Pumping

so after an unexpected admit to the nicu after my 41 week long pregnancy. My baby had and infection and was drowsy from the antibiotics so they had me start pumping regularly and they were feeding him through a tube but we have moved to a bottle of moms breast milk. I guess my question is at will I still have leaking boobs or does the pumping limit that? Still hoping to start breastfeeding when we go home in the next few days.

    I don't think one has anything to do with the other. Some women leak, some don't.

    Ok thanks I guess it kinda makes sense if I didn't leak during my pregnancy it shouldn't seem far fetched to not have that be a problem after either.

    I never leaked during either pregnancy but did after. Breast pads take care of any issues.

    Umm it depends on your letdown. I didn't leak during my pregnancy but I did after she was born. But I don't think it had anything to do with me pumping. Your boobs have a mind of their own when bfing.

    I didn't leak during pregnancy or week one post partum. I leak almost constantly now. I do not pump, only BF

    Ok I am just under a week and hadn't yet I have pads was just wondering if it's normal to not use them I guess everything is kinda normal and not normal just glad I can at least pump till I can get my baby home and on his own schedule not the nicu schedule.

    I have to constantly wear breast pads. I leak when i letdown, and I letdown out of nowhere. I also leak on the other side that I'm feeding on.

    I don't really leak but I still wear pads bc I find the lanolin is really oily/greasy and it saves my tank tops and bras

    I wasn't wearing the pads since I didn't think I was leaking, until I woke up o e morning in a legit pile of milk and two round wet spots on my tshirt. This was back when my milk was just coming in, so it's cooled since then. But still, better safe than sorry!

    I only leak when I haven't pumped in a long time or im bfing on the other side. I wear the pads when I go out though

    Anyone else leak through their pads? I do & I'm nervous about this happening out in public. Also if you leak from one breast while breastfeeding on the other try using a Milkie milk savor. It's goes in your bra & collects the leaking milk while you are breastfeeding on the other side. Might as well save the milk to use for baby.
