  My baby is like this too. He is also 8 weeks old. The only catch is during the day he will pretty much only sleep if being held. If you put him down he may sleep for 20 minutes then start screaming, but you can tell he wants to sleep. I plan on asking our pedi at our appointment in a week and a half. I don't remember my older two sleeping so much, but maybe I just forgot. He does have days occasionally where he is more awake, but mostly he just sleeps.

  From what I've read about this topic it's probably normal! My 8 week old will officially be 2 months on Sunday and he still sleeps allll the time. He'll be up maybe an hour after every feeding during the day to socialize and play, but then he gets cranky and it's time for another 2 hour nap. I got worried about it too, but I think as long as your baby is hitting all her milestones it's okay! I'll be asking my pedi about it on Tuesday, but I'm not too worried about it since my baby is holding his head up and socializing and everything.

  My lb is 10 weeks old and sleeps a lot in day to and he will also sleep from 9.30-7.30 lol he is putting on weight and very content I did worry but now if he is tired I let him sleep if not and wants to play and talk that's what we do. Just follow babies lead and as long as he/she is healthy and happy then nothing to worry about He also holds head up and has now started to push himself up when he holds my hands he is very clever to clever I think lol and a right chatter box when he ain't sleeping lol

  Thanks everyone for all of the feedback it has really made me feel better. My little girl will be 2 months on the first and ill talk to her pediatrician about it but yall have calmed my nerves until then
